REST API - List Discount Codes

We are thrilled to announce a new GET endpoint for discounts. The endpoint will be called "List Event Discounts" and will allow planners to fetch all discounts present in an event, supporting better integration, automation, and data-driven decision-making.

Once released a detailed documentation for this REST API endpoint can be found here on the Cvent Developer Portal.

      Key Highlights :

      • The endpoint will return a paginated list of both event and account discounts being used in an event.

      • The endpoint will return essential details for each discount, including:

        • Discount Code ID and name

        • Whether it's active and

        • Stackable status

        • Method (percentage, amount, etc.)

        • Amount/Percentage

        • Effective From/To dates

        • Type (Discount Code or Volume Discount)

        • Level (Event or Account)

        • Capacity

Significant Upgrades to Cvent and Marketo Integration

We’re excited to announce a significant update to our Cvent and Marketo integration, designed to deliver a more reliable, secure, and user-friendly experience for our teams and customers. This release focuses on two major improvements: a complete backend rebuild and a revamped configuration experience.

      1. Backend Service Rebuild: Enhanced Performance, Security, and Real-Time Sync

While the core functionality of the integration remains the same, we’ve migrated the connector to our modern integrations framework. This upgrade brings several key benefits:

      • Improved Performance and Stability: The new framework is more robust, ensuring faster and more reliable data syncs.

      • Enhanced Security: Built-in security enhancements provide greater protection for customer data.

      • Real-Time Data Sync: Changes in Cvent are now reflected in Marketo almost instantly, keeping event and attendee data in near real-time sync.

      2. New Configuration Experience: Simpler, More Intuitive Setup

We’ve also overhauled the configuration process for Admins in Cvent, making it easier to set up and manage the integration:

      • Centralized Access: Configuration has moved from the Push API page to the Integration Apps page, providing better visibility and aligning with the experience of our latest integrations.

      • Streamlined Setup: Integration points are now grouped by Event, Session, Email, and Contact Syncing. Similar triggers are bundled together and can be enabled with just a few clicks.

      • Modern Field Mapping: The new field mapping interface (modeled after our Hubspot integration) makes it much easier to map Cvent and Marketo fields, including support for Custom Objects. We’ve also removed the previous restriction that forced Event and Session objects to sync to separate Custom Objects in Marketo, addressing a key limitation for customers.

      Seamless Transition for Customers

Importantly, this upgrade requires no action from customers. Existing syncs will continue to operate without interruption, and users will simply notice a new, improved configuration experience and more reliable data syncing.

      Why This Matters

These enhancements build on our existing Marketo integration, which already enables automatic syncing of event activity and attendee behavior, flexible configuration, and comprehensive data sharing. With this release, we’re delivering a more modern, stable, and user-friendly solution that will help our customers save time, reduce manual effort, and get even more value from their event data.
