REST API GET and PUT Endpoints for Updating Registration Type Capacity

Suppose you wish to view/manage the registration type object within an event via REST API using a combination of these two calls. You can fetch and update the registration type capacity data in that case. Developers can view the documentation about these endpoints on the Cvent Developer Portal under the "Events" section, making it easy to discover and utilize them for seamless integration.

GET Endpoint :

It can return paginated data for the Registration Types available in an event. This data would also have attributes like :

  • The total, remaining, and consumed capacity for the registration type

  • The name, code, and description of the registration type

  • The open for registration status, automatic open, and end dates.

PUT Endpoint :

The PUT Endpoint would allow users to update the following attributes for a registration type present in a specific event :

  • The total capacity for the registration type

  • The open for registration status

  • The automatic open and close dates for the registration type.

Things to note :

The following nomenclature has been used to denote the different capacities concerning registration types :

  • Consumed - The consumed capacity of the registration type in an event.

  • Remaining - The remaining capacity of the registration type in an event.

    • You will see the remaining capacity as -1 if the total capacity is unlimited.

    • If the total capacity has a defined value (not unlimited), a negative value for the remaining capacity indicates that the consumed capacity has surpassed the full capacity.

  • Total Capacity - The total capacity of the registration type in an event

    • A value of -1 denotes unlimited capacity.

  • Expected Release Date: 13 December 2023.
