Surveys

• REST APIs for Assessments

  • Planners will now be able to retrieve Assessment data out of Cvent to use in their external systems and data warehouse for analytics. All account-level GET calls and event-specific POST and PUT calls to existing Surveys REST API endpoints will now include Assessments. By using existing API endpoints, this enhancement streamlines retrieving Assessment data while continuing to support the accuracy and security when accessing information from the Surveys REST API endpoints.

    • While getting the data, planners will use the survey ID filters to return only assessment data.

    • The user permissions and survey visibility permissions are also supported when returning data. This means that when a user doesn't have access to a specific survey in their account, the respective data won't be returned.

    The following are the APIs where the updates have been made to include Assessment data:

• Number Allocation Question Added to Additional Survey Reports

  • Planners will now have additional reports supported to run dashboard reports and perform data synthesis on the number allocation question for the responses received from the respondents. The following reports have been updated to incorporate the Number Allocation question type in the report grid:

    1. Survey Answer Dashboard

    2. Event Feedback Dashboard

    The existing report capabilities will be supported for this question type, such as filtering, sorting, groupings, export, and saved reports.

Integrations/APIs

• We are introducing new REST API GET endpoints for Seating Configuration, Table, Seats and Attendee Assigned Seats.

  • Developers can view documentation about these endpoints on the Cvent Developer Portal under the "Seating" section.

  • Below is the list and details of the APIs associated with this release:

List Seating - Paginated API retrieves all the seating arrangements for a particular event. The API is filterable by the Seating ID.

Get Seating by ID - Returning seating information for individual Seating ID as requested.

Get Tables - Paginated API retrieving all the tables corresponding to a seating. The API is filterable by Table ID

Get Table by ID - Returning table information for individual Table IDs as requested.

Get Seat - Paginated API retrieving all the Seats corresponding to a Table. The API is filterable by Seat ID

Get Seat by ID - Returning seat information for individual Seat ID as requested.

Get Attendee Table Assignment - Retrieve the attendee level seat assignment based on seating ID and event ID. The API is filterable by Seating ID, Table ID, Seat ID, and Attendee ID.
