Marketo Form Creates Attendee

• Marketers often have existing forms and marketing processes in place to capture basic registration information for less complex events and need Cvent to execute their webinars, mobile apps, badge printing, and more.

  • Customers with the Cvent Marketo connector can utilize Marketo forms/processes to create Attendees in accepted status. This can trigger a Cvent email with appropriate links and details for the Attendee to engage with the event. This saves manual export/import, and allows Attendees to sign up in near real-time.

  • This feature will be available for Webinar Premium and events with the registration feature disabled.

Cvent Salesforce App v8.2

• Cvent Salesforce App 8.2 introduces features to reduce unneeded data syncs, more Cvent Contact fields, and improved visibility on how Cvent and Salesforce records are matched. Important Features of this release:

  • Event Filtering: Salesforce Administrators face instances when outdated or unneeded data syncs for events in statuses that no longer need to sync to the app. To limit this, a new Cvent configuration allows for filtering on Event statuses.

  • New contact fields: There are 8 new contact fields added to be synced over to the Salesforce App: LinkedIn URL, Twitter URL, Facebook URL, Profile Picture, Headline, Biography, Pronouns, and Contact Website.

  • Record Matching Details: Details were added to the Attendee Temp Record to determine which matching criteria matched the Cvent Attendee to the Salesforce Contact/Lead.

  • Cvent sandbox retirement: With the migration to Cvent product testing accounts and the retirement of the sandbox environment, the Cvent Sandbox option has been removed from the app's Admin tab.

Real-time Webhooks

• Activate Cvent data faster with Real-time Webhooks.

  • Webhooks are a one-way sync from Cvent to an endpoint that sends event, session, attendee, speaker, and meeting request data after actions are triggered. Now, syncs will happen faster, allowing customers to act upon key event and attendee actions to help drive key business initiatives.

  • In addition to increased velocity, the webhooks framework has been modernized to improve stability, scalability, and maintainability.
