Event Management Reporting
Reporting Framework - Report List Redesign Phase 2
In the next phase of our report list redesign, we're continuing to improve the report list pages for better organization of the reports. The features aim to create a streamlined, user-friendly, and accessible report page for all report users to access the right data with minimal clicks.
The following features will be introduced for Report List Pages:
Saved Reports as the Default Landing Page
Most users have customized versions of report templates, which they repeatedly access. To save extra clicks, the saved reports page will be the default landing page for the users. If the user does not have any saved reports, the user will land on the report templates page.
Saved Reports Categories and Updates
Two collapsible categories have been added to the saved reports page for better user report organization.
My Reports - These will contain the reports created by the users themselves.
Shared With Me - These will contain the reports shared with the user by others using Edit Visibility.
Additionally, the reports will now display Last Modified Date and Last Modified By as the report subtext.
Introducing Favorites and Additional Filters
Are you looking for a quick and easy way to access your favorite reports? Click the star icon next to any report you want to mark as a favorite, and it will be saved for future use. The "Favorites" filter can easily access all of your labeled reports. Other filters that have been added to the saved reports page include "Scheduled" - for all reports with a schedule associated with them and "Published" - for all reports published to a portal.
Sorting on List Pages
Saved Reports can be sorted by Recently Used, Last Modified, Name A-Z, and Name Z-A. The reports will be sorted into their respective categories. Report Templates can also be sorted by Recently Used, Name A-Z, and Name Z-A.
Scheduled Reports
Snapshots have been renamed to Scheduled Reports to give users a better idea of the tab's functionality. Two categories on the tab have also been introduced:
Scheduled Reports - this will contain the list of all scheduled runs of the reports. Once a scheduled run is processed in the background, the report can be accessed immediately without waiting to load.
Queued Reports will contain all the reports queued by clicking the "Queue Report" button while the report is loading. Queueing a report also processes the report in the background, ready to be accessed once finished without waiting on the loading screen.
Expected Release Date: 29 November 2023.
Integrations/APIs
Integration Hub now supports multiple configurations for Zoom, GoToWebinar, and Webex, providing enhanced flexibility and functionality.
Our customers leverage a single Cvent account to integrate multiple instances of a particular third-party virtual application, such as connecting one Cvent account with multiple Zoom accounts within their organization.
To accommodate this, we are introducing a new feature for Cvent planner admins, allowing them to set up multiple configurations for a virtual app.
This enhancement empowers existing and new customers to easily configure these settings through a self-serve process accessible via the admin integration home screen.

Integrate Cvent with 3rd party virtual app
Key Insights
Supported Virtual Apps: This feature rollout initially applies to the following virtual apps: Zoom, GoToWebinar, and Webex.
Configuration Limitation: The number of configurations that can be created is contingent upon the terms of the contract, specifically the number of configurations purchased.

Custom Widgets
Create custom widgets to solve unique use cases and styling needs for website and registration pages. Custom widgets can be used within the Site Designer to access session, speaker, and fee information from the event to further customize the site beyond what the standard widgets provide.
The following is an example of a new session registration experience created using Custom Widgets to display images and sessions in a card-style format. The custom widget allows control over which session information to display and how it is presented. It has also been built to consume the theme from the site designer, integrating the widgets nicely into whichever event it is added to and allowing invitees to register for sessions.
Technical resources are required to build these custom widgets. Developers can reference the documentation for Custom Widgets on the Developer Portal once released.
After the code for the custom widget has been developed, account users with administrative access to custom widget management can create, edit, and archive the widgets in admin.
Custom Widgets added to an account will then be available in the site designer for planners with event custom widget permissions to use when building the registration and website pages for all their events.

Cvent Salesforce App 8.0
Cvent Salesforce App 8.0 introduces key security enhancements to help modernize authentication and connection. Additionally, this release offers more flexibility for Salesforce System Administrators in how Cvent and Salesforce records match and improvements in how marketing stakeholders can maintain opt-out compliance between both platforms.
NOTE: Installing version 8.0 will require reconnecting your Cvent and Salesforce accounts using OAuth2.0. After downloading, your connection will remain paused until reauthentication happens.
Connect to your Cvent account using OAuth 2.0: Using and adopting OAuth 2.0 to integrate systems has become the standard across the industry. This update moves the app to this standard and increases integration security.
Use alternative record matching when syncing data to SF: Now, Salesforce Administrators can choose what matching approach suits you more. Want to maintain a 1:1 relationship between a Salesforce record and a contact from the Cvent Address Book? Or do you prefer to preserve an event-level-only relationship between a Salesforce record and a Cvent attendee? Choose between Contact Record Matching and the new Attendee Respondent Record Matching. With two matching approaches, our customers who use Cvent in different and interesting ways can better match records and avoid duplicates, including handling Cvent Contact Snapshot events.
Sync Opted-Out field value change from Cvent to SF and from SF to Cvent: There are times when the Opted-Out field can change in either Cvent or Salesforce that do not revolve around event actions (registering, attending, etc...). With this release, marketers can ensure any opt-out activities that happen outside of event actions can update matched records in both systems and choose which system is the record of truth for opt-out information.
