Attendee Engagement News for 13 December 2023

Top News: Captioning, Auto Play and more 

The product team has three big improvements they're working to deliver in this window that we know you’re going to love: 

1. Attendee Hub + Webinar: Introducing Captions in Embedded Collaborative Sessions - Our live captioning feature automatically transcribes audio to text and embeds it directly into the platform for a seamless experience. The captions are highly accurate, so you can rest assured that your audio is transcribed correctly. Whether your attendees are hard of hearing, prefer to read captions instead of listening to audio, or just want to follow along more closely, our live captioning feature will enhance their experience.

   

2. Attendee Hub + Webinar: Auto Play - Attendees waiting in the session details page are automatically added to the player 5 minutes prior to the session start time. This feature eliminates the need for attendees to manually join the session when it begins.

   

3. Attendee Hub + Webinar: Background Image Uploader - Select the background files you want to upload and simply drag them into the upload area, eliminating the need to browse through folders and locate files manually. Error handling notifies you immediately if the upload has issues. 

   

    

Four additional improvements to make your job easier 

If you thought the above items are exciting, wait until you see what else the team plans to release in the next launch window: 

• OnArrival (Android): You can configure custom messages to display to attendees. These messages can either block attendees from checking in or display after check-in. Expected Release date: 13 December 2023  

• OnArrival (Printer calibration): Due to inconsistent calibration behaviors between the "Calibrate Printer" settings in OnArrival and printer calibration settings, it will be removed from OnArrival. When connecting a Zebra printer, users will be required to calibrate settings on the printer directly to reduce confusion. Expected Release date: 13 December 2023 

• Attendee Hub: Date/Time filters for simple event agendas. Expected Release date: 13 December 2023 

• Attendee Hub: Video editor workflow enhancements.  Edit your videos from the video settings page without having to add them to the video library first. Expected Release date: 13 December 2023

Remember Attendee Hub customers - If you have an active event between Wednesday and Sunday of this release date, you will not see these new features until the Monday after the release. This is to ensure we are not releasing features into active, ongoing events.
