Budget Versions in the New CSN Sourcing Experience

We are excited to introduce Budget Versions in the New CSN Sourcing Experience. This feature is designed to help you efficiently track and compare budgets across different properties, ensuring a seamless and accurate budgeting process.

Key Features

1. RFP Budget Versions:

   • Replaces the cost summaries at the hotel level in the Legacy CSN Experience.

   • Allows you to create multiple budget versions for detailed and flexible comparisons.

   • Maintains a single default version that integrates into the Event budget if the RFP is linked to an Event.

   

2. Streamlined Proposal Import:

   • You can directly import proposals from the view proposal screen of the venue that has submitted a bid.

   • This feature accelerates the process of updating and comparing budgets.

     

3. Budget's Summary Report:

   • Previously known as the Cost Summary Report.

   • Enables you to quickly generate comprehensive reports on your budget versions.

   Benefits

   1. Efficiency: Quickly compare and manage multiple budget scenarios without manual data compilation.

   2. Accuracy: Ensure that the most relevant budget version is always linked to the Event budget.

   3. Convenience: Direct import from the proposal view screen simplifies the budgeting process.

   Note: This feature will be available to all customers using the RFP Budget Versions feature.

   Getting Started

   To begin using the new Budget Versions feature, navigate to the RFP section in the New CSN Sourcing Experience. There, you can create, manage, and compare different budget versions. Use the direct import function on the proposal view screen to streamline your workflow.

   We hope these new capabilities enhance your planning experience and provide you with greater flexibility and efficiency in managing your budgets.

Unarchiving RFPs in the New CSN Sourcing Experience

To make your RFP management more efficient and flexible, we are introducing unarchive RFPs which will allow you to move the RFP to the current view in the RFP List from the archived view and set a new archival future date

How does it work?

To utilize this feature, simply go to the Archived view, select the RFP you want to unarchive, and click on the 'Unarchive' option. You will then be prompted to choose a new archival future date, which you can set according to your preference. Your RFP will be automatically moved out of the Archived view and back into your active RFPs.

We understand that this feature was available in our Legacy CSN sourcing experience and we wanted to make sure it was still accessible in our new interface. We believe that this feature will greatly improve your RFP management process and help you stay organized.

4 New Redesigned CSN Planner Emails

We have redesigned 4 CSN planner emails to be fully localized with a new look and feel:

3 emails related to the RFP Approval Process

• Request for RFP approval - sent to an admin on the account to approve or decline an RFP

• RFP approved - sent back to the individual who created the RFP to let them know their RFP has been approved

• RFP declined - sent back to the individual who created the RFP to let them know their RFP has been declined

• Request to award - received by the planner when a hotel has requested the RFP be awarded to them in the system

What are the most valuable things to know about this release?

• These new email templates will match the look and feel of other CSN planner emails we have updated in the past

• Fully localized in all languages Cvent offers
