The product team has 2 big improvements they're working to deliver in this window that we know you’re going to love:

  1. Registration Insights - Registration Insights is a new page that provides deep insights into registration metrics and the overall registration process from a comprehensive dashboard with filterable widgets. We now provide detailed insights into registration numbers segmented by registration types, audience segments, and agenda items.
    One of the standout features is the intuitive graph displaying registration pace over time. This allows you to evaluate registration numbers in relation to event capacity and goals, enabling you to make data-driven decisions and take necessary actions.

    This new page is a part of the Registration feature and can be found in the left-hand navigation.

    Key Features:

    • Total registrations, Days Left, and Total check-ins. You now have real-time visibility into total registration numbers, revenue calculations, and comparisons to event capacity or goals. Easily track your progress, ensuring you stay on track in terms of event ROI. Additionally, you can see the time remaining until the registration deadline and event start date, helping them effectively manage your event timeline.

    • Monitor Registrations and Check-ins over time. This line chart visually displays the trend of registration numbers from the registration launch to the registration deadline and event end. You can easily identify if registration numbers are on track or if additional marketing campaigns or event capacity adjustments are needed.

    • Follow up with Invitees. This feature provides a clear view of invitees who have not converted, enabling you to easily follow up and nurture those leads. You can also track cancellations and abandoned registrations, allowing you to take proactive steps to maximize attendance and optimize event success.

    • Track Registrations and Check-ins. You now have comprehensive tracking capabilities, empowering you to gain insights into your event audience composition. You can identify the number of returning attendees from past events, evaluate the number of new leads generated, and calculate event ROI more accurately. This allows you to better plan marketing campaigns and tailor event experiences to meet the needs of your audience.

    • Sharing data with stakeholders. Furthermore, Registration Insights allows users to download the dashboard in PDF format conveniently, enabling seamless presentation or sharing with executives for a quick overview of event registration performance. This feature ensures that critical information can be efficiently conveyed and easily referenced during presentations or executive discussions.

  2. Hover State Styling for Buttons - Add custom hover state styling to the buttons on your event websites to enhance the look and feel of your sites to create more modern, polished attendee experiences.

    A hover state is a change in styling when a user's cursor hovers over a specific website element. It provides immediate visual feedback to the user, confirming that they are interacting with a clickable or selectable element. This interactivity makes the interface more dynamic and encourages users to explore and engage with the content further.

    Hover states will be available for all buttons on the event website and registration site designer. They are not currently available for emails or surveys. They can be configured in the global theme panel by editing the primary and secondary button styles and clicking on the new "Hover" tab. If you don't want to apply a hover state globally, the same tab is available at the individual widget level for any widget with a button.

    There are four options when configuring a hover state:

    • No Hover State - there will be no style changes on hover. This is the default option, so it will not impact existing event styling. New events will also start with no hover state.

    • Change Brightness - the background color will change brightness when hovering. You can choose from an auto-generated gradient of colors.

    • Fill in with Border Color - the background color will change to match the button's border color when hovering. This is a great option for transparent buttons.

    • Custom - Configure the text color, background color, background opacity, and border color individually.

2 additional improvements to make your job easier

  • List Order Items REST API call now returns the GL Code information for Room Types and Group Flights - We have enhanced the existing List Order Items GET endpoint for events to now return the General Ledger Codes associated with Hotel Room Types and Group Flights. Detailed documentation for this REST API Get endpoint can be found here on the Cvent Developer Portal. This call will return the following GL Code information: name, code, and description.

    The General Ledger Codes can be associated to the hotel rooms by going to Travel > Hotel Accommodations > Hotel > Room > Advanced Settings > Charge registrants for this hotel room: Yes

    The General Ledger Codes can be associated to the group flights by going to Travel > Air Travel > Group Flight > Open the Group Flight > Advanced Settings > Charge registrants for this group flight: Yes

  • Exhibitor Emails Audience Enhancement - With this update, you can now directly target emails to exhibitor admins who have no booth staff. This can be used with any exhibitor email, for example, to remind them to staff their booth. We have added a new audience type to target exhibitor admins who have no booth staff assigned, specifically called "Exhibitor Admins with no booth staff".
