Top News: Session Title Character Increase and more

The product team has 4 big improvements they're working to deliver in this window that we know you’re going to love:

  1. Session Title character limit increase to 500 characters - The Session Title field will have its character limit increased from the current max of 250 characters to 500 characters. You will be able to use more characters to convey what the session will be about or increase excitement via a catchy title.

This change is available and visible anywhere the Session Title is seen by planners or attendees such as:

    • Session record

    • Reporting

    • Bulk editing

    • Session imports

    • Attendee Hub

    • Session Scanning

    • Session Groups

    • Session Bundles

    • Payments and Invoicing

  2. Categorize Code Snippets with Cookies - Instead of tying a code snippet to the cookie banner, you can now categorize code snippets into four distinct categories: Marketing, Performance, Functionality, or Strictly Necessary. This categorization offers enhanced control regarding the impact of each code snippet and provides the flexibility needed for effective code snippet management.

When interacting with the cookie banner, attendees can accept or reject cookies based on their preferences. A code snippet will be blocked or allowed based on the particular cookie category chosen by them.

  3. Enhanced Hotel Request Widget - We have greatly simplified the layout and grouping within the Hotel Request widget configuration and are giving you more power to control the display of individual fields. You can specify the Check In and Check Out dates you’d like to be displayed on the widget by default.

Previously, you could only choose to display/hide the fields within the widget. Now you'll be able to configure the following:

    • Set each field to Required/ Optional/ Do not display

    • Specify the default Check In and Check Out dates to be populated on the widget

    • Customize all the default text displayed on the widget

  4. Mark Contacts eligible for Obfuscation via Import - The new import wizard gives you more control and transparency over the contact obfuscation process. This enhancement improves data governance practices, builds customer trust, advances data management, and provides visibility into eligible records. It also helps organizations effectively monitor and enforce data privacy policies.

A new user role sub-permission has been added under Address Book Permissions. Once released, users with an Administrator user role will have the permission enabled by default.

Additionally, you may use Import Summary report under Address Book for a comprehensive overview of the import process, including the number of contacts marked as eligible for obfuscation and any errors encountered.

All account administrators who are already using the “Automatic Personal Data Obfuscation” feature in their accounts will see the new option to Import. Otherwise to enable this feature, reach out to your account team.
