Widget Visibility by Audience Segments in Registration

We're excited to introduce Audience Segment-Based visibility controls in the registration process. You can now control the visibility of registration questions, contact fields (standard and custom), and text widgets based on Audience Segments.

This enhancement empowers you to personalize registration journeys through Audience Segments. By moving beyond reliance on registration types, you can avoid duplicating forms for different groups, streamlining setup, and improving efficiency. Attendees benefit from a cleaner, more relevant experience that boosts engagement and ensures accurate data collection.

      Highlights

      • Display or hide general and item-level registration questions based on an attendee’s assigned Audience Segment.

      • Apply segment-based visibility rules to both standard contact fields and custom contact fields.

      • Customize which text widgets appear during registration, tailoring key messages for different attendee types.

      • When known invitees arrive via a personalized email link, the system now recognizes any pre-assigned Audience Segments and applies the correct visibility settings to fields and widgets.

        • If you're accessing registration through a general weblink (rather than a personalized email), some questions or content may appear only after we identify your audience segment (e.g., via a lookup or form input). Once identified, the appropriate fields, questions, and widgets will be shown.

Audience Segment-based visibility is evaluated at two key points during the attendee journey:

      1. Before Registration Starts: If the attendee's segment is known (e.g., via a personalized link or early identification), visibility settings are applied immediately.

      2. After Registration Completes: Any segment changes made mid-registration (e.g., due to form logic or data changes) will not impact the current session. Updates take effect on the next visit, ensuring a consistent, disruption-free experience.

New 'Accepted' Email Status and SMTP Code in Email Details Report

Currently, planners do not have access to SMTP code in email reporting and need to ask support to run internal-only reports on their behalf. This release will give planners visibility into the SMTP code in the Email details report, so that they can better understand how their emails are performing.

In addition, a new status is being added as "Message Accepted," which will indicate that the message has been successfully accepted by the recipient's server and return a 25x status code.

      After this release:

      • A new status will be Message accepted, in addition to the two already existing statuses (Sent and undelivered). The Message accepted status will determine whether the email has reached the intended recipient.

      • The planners will have access to the SMTP code in the planner side Email details report.

Enhanced RSVP Controls in Event Auto Calendar Hold

We are thrilled to announce that you can now control the calendar hold type (status) for your confirmation emails and decide whether the calendar hold should show up as "tentative" or "accepted" in the attendee's calendar.

      Benefits:

      • More flexibility — The ability to decide the calendar hold type gives you more flexibility regarding how you want it to interact with an attendee's calendar on a per-event basis.

      • Improved convenience - Being able to mark an attendee's calendar as accepted reduces the need for attendees to manually accept the invite after they have registered for an event. The calendar block appearing as accepted also discourages overbooking the attendees' calendars, improving overall experience and attendance for the event. Whereas, if the planner does not want to block the entire event duration (like in the case of a multi-day event), they can choose to have the calendar entry show up as tentative on the attendee's calendar.

      How it works:

      • If you have enabled the "Attach calendar file" setting under the "Email Attachments" section in confirmation emails, a new sub-setting called "RSVP type" will appear.

      • You can select the RSVP type that they want, and the same will start reflecting for the invitees who receive this email.

      • This setting will be available for Invitee, Guest, and Admin confirmation emails, where we allow planners to attach the calendar file right now.

      • By default, the RSVP type will be set to "Accepted" for all the emails.

REST API - List Discount Codes

We are thrilled to announce a new GET endpoint for discounts. The endpoint will be called "List Event Discounts" and will allow you to fetch all discounts present in an event, supporting better integration, automation, and data-driven decision-making.

Once released a detailed documentation for this REST API endpoint can be found here on the Cvent Developer Portal.

      Key Highlights :

      • The endpoint will return a paginated list of both event and account discounts being used in an event.

      • The endpoint will return essential details for each discount, including:

        • Discount Code ID and name

        • Whether it's active and

        • Stackable status

        • Method (percentage, amount, etc.)

        • Amount/Percentage

        • Effective From/To dates

        • Type (Discount Code or Volume Discount)

        • Level (Event or Account)

        • Capacity

        • Created by/date

        • Modification by/date

      • Users can sort the discount data in ascending/descending order using fields like discount name, code, method, effective from/to, type, and level.

      • Users will also be able to filter the discount data using "equals" and "includes" comparison types for fields like discount ID, type, level, and method.
