See below for exciting new updates from the product team related to: Bulk editing budget items, New REST API endpoints, and added safeguards within Meeting Request Form!

Ability to Edit Multiple Budget Items (Bulk Edit)

We are introducing the ability within New Budget for planners to make edits to multiple budget items in a streamlined fashion. Planners are now able to rapidly enter or modify values for multiple budget items, such as updating cost values or categories, and then can save changes with a single click. This feature will aid budget users with many items to operate more effectively throughout the event lifecycle and for organizations to more easily adopt New Budget across more events, big and small.

Once in bulk edit mode, planners can edit any of the field values for those selected columns and click "Save" to execute all of those changes at once:

Expected Release Date: 19 June, 2024

Added Safeguards for Event Custom Fields and Meeting Request Forms

We've added safeguards to prevent accidental disruption of Meeting Request Forms containing Event Custom Fields. Users will now be prohibited from deleting an Event Custom Field within Admin->Custom Fields if the field is present on the Site Designer of a Meeting Request Form. This update will prevent users from accidentally breaking Meetings Management configurations by deleting a field that is used in Meeting Request Form logic or any associated workflow components.

Expected Release Date: 19 June, 2024

New REST API Endpoint for Custom Budget Fields

We have introduced a new PUT endpoint that allows developers to modify custom budget fields within a budget item. This new endpoint also allows users to include custom budget fields when creating budget items, keeping budget custom fields in Cvent in sync with those in their external systems.

Detailed documentation for REST API endpoints can be found on the Cvent Developer Portal.

Expected Release Date: 19 June, 2024
