Top News: Cvent Budget Management, Meeting Request Form

The product team has 2 big improvements they're working to deliver in this window that we know you’re going to love:

Travel Cost Import in New Budget

Planners can now match invitees' travel costs with budget items in New Budget, which helps save time categorizing spend coming from air and hotel actuals.

As hotel actuals or air actuals are entered into invitee records, they will flow into the Travel Cost tab within budget to be managed. These travel costs can then be associated to new or existing budget items to help track actual budget expenditures related to your invitees' travel.

Planners can filter these costs by status, currency, check-in/out date and/or arrival/departure date to make it easy to locate a particular invitee or group of invitees.

  1. Planner users see available travel costs on the Travel Cost tab when available:

  2. They can then choose to associate costs to a new item or an existing item:

  3. After Travel Costs are matched to budget items, Planners can use the Travel Cost Import Details Report to view imported costs, which items they were matched to, timestamps, and totals at a glance.

Meeting Request Form: Ability to jump to and save from any page in Meeting Request Form

Planners now have more flexibility and convenience while navigating and managing multi-page submitted meeting requests.

  • Jump to Page and Save provides new and flexible ways for planners to navigate multi-page submitted meeting requests, saving them time in their day to day tasks. When editing submitted meeting requests they will no longer need to click through every page of the request in order find the page they'd like to update and they will not need to reach the final page of the request in order to save these updates.

On save, every page of the request will be checked for required answer formats. If errors exist, planners will be notified with an error message at the top of the page being viewed and error icons will appear in the stepper menu indicating which page(s) need attention.

If you thought the above items are exciting, wait until you see what else the team plans to release in the next launch window:

  1. New stepper menu for multi-page meeting requests

  2. Navigate using the stepper menu in both view and edit mode

  3. Save updates from any page of the meeting request

  4. On save, users will be alerted of errors needing attention on any page
