In this special post, we're excited to share deeper insights on Cvent's new Badge Designer and important resources to help you get the most out of your products.

New, Improved, and What's Next!

If you keep up with our product releases, you know our refreshed and rebuilt Badge Designer was first released in June for OnArrival Premium customers. The great news is that it will be available for OnArrival Basic customers who need to pre-print badges via PDF later in 2024; with the goal to upgrade all users to the new designer in 2025. In the meantime, the legacy badge designer remains available for OnArrival Basic customers.

How will the improved Badge Designer Help?

It's simple. Less time and resources, better interface, ability to add graphics, and edit quickly. Our customers and internal support teams want to be more hands-on with their badge design so they can quickly layout and share designs across their organization, speed up the design process, and reduce costs if using third-party design software. We accomplished these things, tested it across early adopters, and released it to our OnArrival Premium customers to take advantage of these highly-requested features ASAP. Highlights:

  • Clean UI now with more space to design badges

  • Custom fonts support

  • Expanded conditional logic based on data tags

  • Background image support to help align badge fields

  • Hide/lock layers to enable quicker field search/selection

  • Badge preview available directly in the designer

What's great about Cvent's new Badge Designer is that it now allows you to layout graphics, texts, fonts, QR/Barcodes, conditional logic, and other elements, so you can quickly get buy-in from ALL of your stakeholders.

All the new badge designer features exactly match the printers you'll use on site, so customers using third-party badge designers should check out these updates to possibly simplify their badge design process and reduce costs.
