Event planning and seating are now easier than ever. Cvent’s Event Registration now features a two-way integration with Cvent Event Diagramming (previously known as Social Tables), ensuring that your registration data and seating assignments are perfectly synchronized across the Cvent platform.

      TL;DR

Import your registrant list from Event Registration into Event Diagramming to seat attendees visually on your floor plan. Those seating assignments are reflected in your Cvent event.

      • View those assignments across Cvent tools that pull seating, including OnArrival and Badge printing—so onsite teams have the latest info at check-in.

      • Syncs run automatically to keep everyone aligned as registrations change, cancellations occur, or last-minute seating adjustments are made.

      • General availability began June 4, 2025, for Cvent Event Diagramming Enterprise users.

      What it is

The two-way integration creates a seamless connection between registration and seating. You can import your attendee list from Event Registration into Event Diagramming. Then, use intuitive drag-and-drop tools to assign seats, with those seating assignments automatically reflected back in your Cvent event. This allows downstream experiences, such as OnArrival and Badges, to utilize the seating assignments effectively.

      Why It Matters

      • Fewer Manual Steps: Eliminate the need for spreadsheet exports and reimports. Your attendee list and seat assignments will remain in sync effortlessly.

      • Streamlined Onsite Operations: Both OnArrival and badge printing adhere to the latest seating assignments, allowing staff to confidently manage VIP routing and table changes.

      • Always Up to Date: Automatic synchronization ensures that any last-minute edits are reflected across all your tools.

How It Works (At a Glance)

      • Authenticate and Select Your Event: Connect Event Diagramming to your Cvent account, and then choose the attendee list for the event or session you want to import.

      • Choose Fields and Import: Select the attendee fields you wish to bring into Diagramming; you’ll be able to see your guest list directly in the seating workspace.

      • Seat and Sync: Arrange attendees at tables. These assignments will be synced back to your Cvent event and will also be reflected in OnArrival and badge printing.

      Where You’ll See the Benefits

      • Event Registration: The seating layout created in the Diagramming tool will be available under Planning > Seating, ensuring that your core event has the most up-to-date seat map.

      • OnArrival: Check-in teams can reference the seating arrangements during onsite operations.

      • Badges: When configured, table and seat assignments can be printed directly on attendee badges.

      Availability

The two-way integration became generally available on June 4, 2025, following an Early Adopter program for Cvent Event Diagramming Enterprise customers.

      Getting Started

      • If you are already using Cvent Event Diagramming and Event Registration, simply open your Diagramming event and connect your Cvent account to import the attendee list.

      • If you are new to Diagramming or would like a walkthrough, please contact your Cvent representative for assistance and a quick demo.

      FAQs

      • Does it update in “real time”?
