Planner Portal View for Hotel Event Owners

Expected Release Date: 07/22/2026

What’s Changed: Licensed Passkey hotel users can now open the Planner Portal from an event-level planner’s perspective, so you can see the same experience your planner sees without sharing credentials or switching accounts.

From the Planners page in manage.passkey.com, you can select a planner and launch their Planner Portal view directly from the planner record.

When you enter this view, you’ll see a clear banner showing that you’re viewing the event as another user, along with a one-click way to exit the session.

This experience is currently limited to Event Overview. Other navigation is locked, and the session stays scoped to a single event.

Benefit: You can now review the Planner Portal experience more confidently and support planners more directly, all from the tools you already use in Passkey.

• Validate Planner Portal settings in real time before or during collaboration with planners and other event stakeholders.

• Troubleshoot and answer questions with better context because you can see the event from the planner’s perspective.

• Maintain account security and event boundaries without sharing login credentials or moving between separate accounts.

Hotel Guarantee Rules for Event Organizers

What’s Changed: Passkey now gives event organizers a new way to configure guarantee types by hotel through a dedicated Guarantee Rules setup, instead of tying guarantee requirements only to the attendee making the reservation. This makes it easier to align guarantee settings with each hotel’s individual policies and agreements, especially for events that span multiple hotels.

For each event, organizers can currently choose to assign guarantee types either by attendee type or by hotel. With hotel-based rules, you can map one or more hotels to specific guarantee types from the Guarantee Rules page.

Benefit: You can now manage guarantee requirements in a way that better reflects how your hotel blocks are actually set up. That means less manual work, fewer workarounds, and a simpler setup experience for multi-hotel events with different policies.

• Align guarantee settings with hotel-specific policies and agreements.

• Simplify setup for events with multiple hotels and varying guarantee requirements.

• Reduce the need to create duplicate attendee types just to support different hotel rules.

Note - This is an event-level configuration. For each event, organizers can currently either choose to assign guarantee types by attendee types or by hotel.

The Guarantee Rules page shows the default rule plus hotel-based rules that map selected hotels to specific guarantee types.
