Integrations
Cvent Data Bridge - Seamless Integration with FTP (File Transfer Protocol)
We've expanded our integration options to support secure, automated event data delivery to your organization’s FTP servers.
Why It Matters
Accessing and using event data across systems can be complex. Manual exports, custom connectors, and IT-heavy workflows slow down insights and increase costs. This integration solves that by automating event data delivery from Cvent to your FTP server—no custom development required.
Who’s It For?
This integration is ideal for organizations that:
Use FTP servers as part of their data architecture
Need to centralize event data for analytics and reporting
Want to eliminate manual exports and custom workarounds
Plan to route data to cloud platforms, data warehouses, or BI tools
Key Features
Connect your Cvent account to your FTP server
Choose which Cvent entities to sync (e.g., registrations, sessions)
Select whether to include historical data or current data
Supports the most commonly used Cvent entities (more coming soon)
Business Impact
With automated FTP transfers, organizations can:
Seamlessly feed event data into platforms like Snowflake, Salesforce, Databricks, and Adobe Experience Platform
Enable real-time insights for personalization, automation, and decision-making
Reduce IT effort while accelerating time-to-value
Note: The current version of Cvent Data Bridge for FTP supports the core and most commonly used data entities. Future updates will gradually add support for more entities.
Webhooks Manual Sync - Attendee Status Filtering
We’ve enhanced the Webhooks Integration with a new filtering option for Manual Syncs, giving customers more control over which attendees are included in syncs based on their registration status.
What’s New?
When performing a manual sync, customers can now filter attendees by their status, such as Registered, Invited, or other defined states. For example, if you only want registered attendees to appear in the Webhooks payload, you can now configure the sync to exclude invitees or others who haven’t yet registered.
This update works alongside existing manual sync options, including:
Selection of specific record types (e.g., attendees, sessions)
Custom date ranges
Why It Matters?
Previously, our legacy Webhooks workflow only synced registered attendees during manual syncs. When we introduced Real-Time Webhooks, manual sync behavior was updated to include all attendees, regardless of status, consistent with other integration workflows.
However, some customers relied on the legacy behavior and needed the ability to limit syncs to only registered attendees. This update addresses that need and goes further, allowing advanced filtering by registration status for added flexibility and control.
Surveys
Credit Management - Award Based On Attendance Duration
We're introducing a new configuration within session credit rules that gives planners greater control over how credits are awarded based on attendee participation. When the "Marked as participant for the session" condition is selected, planners can specify which attendance type(s) are eligible for each session credit rule. This enhancement enables more granular credit assignment to better align with attendance duration requirements.
When a new rule is created, all relevant attendance types will be pre-selected by default, based on the event format of in-person, virtual, or hybrid. The following are the attendance type formats supported as per the event format:
In-Person Events:
Attendance Type: In-Person (automatically selected and non-editable)
Hybrid Events:
Attendance Types: In-Person, Virtual, On-Demand (all selected by default)
Virtual Events:
Attendance Types: Virtual, On-Demand (all selected by default)
The attendance of the attendees will be tracked through the following means:
In-Person Attendance
The On-Arrival feature must be enabled to track in-person attendance. If a planner selects "In-Person" without enabling On-Arrival, an informational message will notify them that the rule will only be evaluated if On-Arrival is used.
Virtual and On-Demand Attendance
To track these attendance types, the Attendee Hub feature must be enabled. If not enabled, a similar informational message will be displayed to the planner.
Speaker Names in Feedback Reports
We have enhanced the Event Feedback Detail and Answer Detail by Attendee reports to now include an optional column for Speaker Names. This allows planners to easily view speaker associations directly within attendee feedback. By consolidating speaker data into a single view across both reports, planners can now review these insights without having to reference multiple reports, enabling a more streamlined feedback analysis process.
This enhancement is available for both basic and premium surveys, regardless of whether the speaker widget is used. It streamlines access to speaker data and improves reporting efficiency.
Speaker inclusion based on feedback type:
Session Feedback Surveys: Displays all speakers associated with the session for each attendee’s feedback response.
General Event Feedback Surveys: This survey shows all speakers not tied to a specific session and captures any additional speakers added at the event level.
