Attendee Engagement Releases for August 20, 2025
Attendee Hub
Introducing Custom Font Support to Event App
What's Changed: Planners can now choose and apply custom fonts for the Event App from the Custom Fonts library available in Admin. Additionally, they can apply font weights only for those fonts that support different weights.
Benefit: It helps planners bring their brand's unique personality directly into the event experience, ensuring that every digital touchpoint reflects their organization’s visual identity.
Attendee Hub Event App Updates
See a summary of the app enhancements that have been rolled out in each release window here.
Remember, Attendee Hub customers - If you have an active event between Wednesday and Sunday after this release date, you will not see these new features until Monday after the release. This is to ensure we are not releasing features into active, ongoing events.
Appointments
Enhancements to Cvent and Jifflenow Integration
What's Changed:
Removed Dependency on 'Cvent Contact ID' Custom Field: The Contact ID is now securely stored in the backend, eliminating the need for a custom field. This change ensures reliable meeting synchronization and removes the risk of misconfiguration or manual errors.
Introduction of Standard 'Meeting Title' Field: A standard 'Meeting Title' field is now available in Jifflenow. If populated, this value will sync as the Subject of the appointment in Cvent. If left empty, the integration will default to the existing 'Meeting With' field.
Support for Substituted Registrants: When a registrant is substituted in Cvent, the corresponding Jifflenow user is automatically marked as Unregistered during the next sync. This prevents them from being associated with meetings or causing sync errors.
Improved Appointment Location Handling: The integration now checks for existing Cvent locations during sync. If a match is found, the Location ID is used for appointment creation or updates. If not, the location name is passed as a custom string, ensuring accurate mapping and preventing errors.
Disable Enforce Scheduling Rules by Default: The "Enforce Scheduling Rules" option is now disabled by default for appointments created from Jifflenow. This ensures all Jifflenow meetings are successfully created in Cvent, regardless of existing scheduling constraints.
Note: Integration administrators should re-authenticate the process for all active Jifflenow <> Cvent integrations. This step is mandatory to grant the updated permissions required by the new version.
Benefit: The integration enhances appointment management, simplifies setup, and reduces manual tasks for clients and internal teams, providing a more seamless experience for event planners using both platforms.
OnArrival
Secure Sync for OnArrival Android Users
What's Changed: Secure Sync allows planners and OnArrival users to prevent duplicate badge copies and ensures that only one person can check in under the same name. When an attendee is checked in using Secure Sync, their registration is not confirmed until OnArrival verifies that they haven't already checked in on another device.
With Secure Sync enabled, OnArrival synchronizes the attendee's complete record in real-time —including status, check-in time, and any other updates—across all devices in real time.
OnArrival Android users can enable Secure sync in their OnArrival app Settings under Attendee Verification.
Benefit: This feature assists planners in maintaining accurate attendee records and enhances onsite security by reducing the risk of unauthorized or duplicate check-ins.
