      Agenda Builder (AI-Powered Session Recommendations)

What's Changed: Agenda Builder will start offering AI-powered, personalized session recommendations that help each attendee quickly build and refine a high‑value agenda, based on what they say they’re interested in and what they actually engage with during your event. Recommendations appear in a new Recommended tab under Schedule and via prompts on pages like Session Guide, All Sessions, and My Schedule, with up to 10 tailored sessions surfaced at a time. The system only recommends sessions attendees can see and enroll in, and it respects your existing rules around capacity, fees, and eligibility.

Benefit: Attendees spend less time scrolling through long session lists and more time in the rooms that matter most to them, leading to stronger engagement and a better perceived event value. Organizers get a smarter way to guide people toward the right mix of learning and networking without rebuilding their agenda strategy or changing existing session rules. Over time, these recommendations adapt as behavior changes, helping repeat attendees continue to discover fresh, relevant content across multiple events.

      Network Builder (AI-Powered Attendee Recommendations)

What's Changed: Network Builder introduces a new Recommended tab on the Attendees page that surfaces up to 20 suggested people each attendee may want to meet, based on their interests, profile, and real in‑event activity. Each recommendation appears as a simple profile card with clear “why this match” context and one‑click options to connect, message, or schedule an appointment—depending on which networking tools you’ve enabled for the event. The feature automatically avoids recommending hidden attendees or people who are already connected, so suggestions stay fresh and useful.

Benefit: Attendees no longer have to sift through a long list of names to find meaningful connections; instead, they get a curated shortlist of people who are likely to be relevant and worth their time. For organizers, this translates into higher‑quality networking, more purposeful meetings, and a smoother path to measurable ROI from sponsor and peer connections. Because the recommendations update as behavior changes, networking keeps getting smarter throughout the event rather than staying frozen at registration data alone.

      Attendee Hub Builder: Personalization Features

What's Changed: Within Attendee Hub Builder, there will be a new Personalization section that brings together key tools like Attendee Profile, My Event, Professional Interests, Profile Setup, Agenda Builder, Network Builder, and Session Snapshots & Takeaways in one place. Professional Interests are now clearly marked as required and must be enabled, configured, and editable before you can turn on Agenda Builder or Network Builder. New safeguards also prevent you from publishing an event with AI recommendations turned on but interests left unconfigured, so attendees always see high‑quality results instead of generic suggestions.

Benefit: Planners get a single, intuitive home for all the knobs and dials that shape each attendee’s experience, instead of hunting through multiple menus to manage personalization settings. Clear prerequisites around Professional Interests make it easier to “do it right” the first time, so recommendation features feel thoughtful and on‑target from day one. This reduces setup errors and ensures attendees feel the app understands what they care about from the moment they log in.

Discovered Interests & Tracking Consent in Event App

What's Changed: The Event App will begin using Discovered Interests—AI‑inferred topics based on what attendees actually browse, watch, and interact with—to power richer recommendations alongside the interests they explicitly select. At the same time, the login flow is being streamlined into a single consent page that captures Terms of Use, Exhibitor Consent, and “Improved Experience (Interest Tracking)” in a single place before any behavioral profiling begins. Attendees can opt out of interest tracking at any time, and if they do, their inferred interests are not used for personalization features such as Agenda Builder and Network Builder.

Benefit: Attendees get recommendations that better reflect what they’re truly engaging with—sessions, exhibitors, content—without having to constantly update their preferences by hand. The consolidated consent screen makes it clearer how data is used and gives people straightforward control over their choices, which helps build trust while still unlocking smarter, more tailored experiences for those who opt in. For organizers, it provides a cleaner, auditable consent signal so you can confidently lean into AI‑driven personalization where appropriate.

Cvent Events: App Store Age Rating Update

What's Changed: The Cvent Events mobile app will move from a 4+ rating to 12+ on the Apple App Store and from Everyone to Teen / PEGI 12 on Google Play, aligning more accurately with the range of professional content and interactions supported in Attendee Hub. No features are being added or removed as part of this change—the app experience itself remains the same—but the ratings will now better reflect real‑world event content, such as medical topics, references to alcohol, and user‑generated discussion and messaging.

Benefit: This update helps keep your events compliant with a growing set of global age‑accountability and app‑store regulations, reducing the risk of distribution issues or surprises down the line. It also sets clearer expectations with your attendees and legal teams about how the app is positioned, while reinforcing that the product is built for professional audiences—not children—even though nothing in the feature set is changing. Branded App customers can continue to choose the rating that best matches their content, so you maintain flexibility where you own your own store listings.
