New Setting Added to Map Configuration to Hide Distance Between Hotel and Event Location
Expected Release Date: 12/17/2025
Overview:
On the attendee booking site, you may want to display the distance between each hotel and your event location to help attendees make informed booking decisions. However, for events with multiple venues—like film festivals or sporting events—showing a single distance can be confusing or misleading.
We’re pleased to share that you can now hide the default distance displayed on the attendee booking site. This new configuration option gives you greater flexibility and control, ensuring your event information is clear, accurate, and better suited for multi-location events.
What’s New:
You can now control whether distance information appears on your attendee booking site through a new configuration option located at:
Event → Website → Event Website → Advanced → Maps → Settings
New Checkbox: Hide “Distance from Venue” everywhere it appears
Here’s how it works:
Default Setting: The box is unchecked, so distances will continue to display as usual.
When Checked:
The distance between your venue and hotels will no longer appear on the attendee booking site.
This setting is event-specific, giving you full control on an event-by-event basis.
You can preview the change before publishing to ensure it meets your needs.
Sorting: The “sort by distance” option will be removed, preventing attendees from viewing or using distance-based sorting.
How It Will Help:
Improved flexibility: You can decide whether to show or hide distance information based on the needs of your event.
Cleaner user experience: Especially helpful for events with multiple venues, ensuring attendees aren’t presented with confusing or irrelevant distance details.
