Field Categories Added to Duplicate Report Columns

      Overview:

Introducing clearer, more intuitive reporting—no guesswork required. When a report includes fields that share the same column name, the field’s category now appears in parentheses right next to the name. This provides instant clarity on which field you’re viewing and its origin, allowing you to analyze more quickly and with confidence.

      What this means for you:

      • Disambiguation at a glance: Quickly tell similarly named fields apart without drilling into field details.

      • Better context: Understand a field’s category right in the column header for cleaner, more accurate reporting.

      • Effortless adoption: No setup required—this enhancement appears automatically wherever duplicate column names exist in the report grid.

      Example:

If a report includes “Date of Birth” from both an invitee’s contact fields and the most recent air request, you’ll now see:

      • Date of Birth (Contact Fields)

      • Date of Birth (Most Recent Air Request)

      Helpful to know:

      • Field categories are displayed only when duplicate column names exist in a report.

      • Reports with unique column names will not be affected.

      • This change will be applied automatically to all reports.

      Introducing Room Categories

      Overview:

Introducing Room Categories — a clearer, faster way to book within group blocks. Many hotels and event organizers have told us that the way guest room types are structured in a hotel’s inventory doesn’t always match how attendees want to book. The result is unnecessary complexity for guests and time‑consuming manual work for staff. With Room Categories, you can create custom groupings of multiple room types—without changing the hotel’s inventory—so attendees see simple, intuitive options and can complete reservations with confidence.

      What's new:

      • Create custom Room Categories that combine multiple room types into a single, easy-to-book option, without touching inventory.

      • Simplify the booking flow by eliminating manual reconciliation of room types for “run‑of‑house” bookings.

      • Reduce attendee friction by presenting clear, consolidated choices when a specific room type is reserved.

Together, these improvements streamline the group booking experience while preserving the hotel’s existing setup—making it easier for attendees to book and for teams to manage.

      How it works:

      • The Hotel or Event Organizer creates an overarching category and assigns one or more room types to it, so guests see streamlined choices instead of a long, confusing list.

      • Set a sell order to control which categories appear first, guiding attendees to the most relevant options and optimizing conversions.

      • Event Organizers can adopt categories the hotel has already defined for consistency, or build their own custom categories by grouping specific room types to match their event’s needs.

All of this happens without changing the hotel’s underlying inventory setup, preserving operational integrity while delivering a simplified booking experience.

No inventory changes required. With Room Categories, Event Organizers (like yourself) don’t need to alter room types or touch reservations to tailor the booking experience—keeping inventory management clean while presenting clearer choices to attendees.

      What you can expect:

      • A simplified online display that groups similar room options, so attendees can choose quickly and confidently.

      • A smoother path to purchase for events with multiple contracted room types, with fewer on-screen options and less decision fatigue.

      • Clearer expectations for attendees by highlighting the specific room attributes they’ve selected and confirmed.

      What's next?

Looking ahead, we are planning several enhancements to further expand the capabilities of Room Categories:

      • Governance for Passkey-licensed hotels: We plan to restrict the creation of new room types by Event Organizers, while enabling organizer-created Room Categories at the event level that pull from a hotel’s Room Type Library. This preserves library integrity and gives organizers flexibility—especially valuable for Citywide events.

      • Broader channel coverage: We’re extending Room Category booking beyond the Attendee Booking site to additional Passkey reservation channels, including Call Center, Room List Manager, and the Multi-Room Booking Tool.

      • Category-level image management: You’ll be able to manage visuals at the Room Category level—either by reusing existing room-type images or uploading new ones—reducing the chance that mixed images from different room types create misleading expectations around views, layouts, or bedding.

Decoupling Billing Fields When Processing Room Lists

      Expected Release Date: 10/16/2025

      Overview:
Users processing a reservation from the Room List Manager can now edit billing fields (Ex: Address) independently from editing credit card fields.

Earlier this year, Passkey standardized its credit card forms throughout the application, creating a more consistent and secure experience that adheres to the latest PCI guidelines. The unified payment form merged all billing fields into a single structure, limiting users who wanted to update individual fields on a reservation. The latest update now reduces that friction and enables field-level changes while still preserving strong payment security.

      What’s new:

      • You can now update billing fields (for example, Address) independently from credit card fields when processing a reservation in the Room List Manager.

      • Earlier this year, Passkey standardized its credit card forms across the application to deliver a consistent, secure experience aligned with the latest PCI guidelines. The unified payment form grouped all billing fields together, which made single-field updates cumbersome.

      • This update restores flexibility by enabling field-level edits to billing information—while continuing to preserve strong payment security.

      Why it matters:

      • Reduce friction and save time by correcting a single billing detail—such as an address—without accessing secure payment data.

      • Keep reservations moving when small fixes are needed, improving operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

      How it works:

      • If a reservation is in a Pending or Unprocessed state in the Room List Manager due to billing information errors, simply double-click within the Billing Information section to edit eligible fields (such as Address), then save your changes.

      • Credit card fields remain protected and are edited only through the secure, standardized payment form to maintain compliance and security.

      What's next?

Allow bulk edits to multiple reservations where card information can be updated independent of billing information.
