 Now, you can add venues directly during event creation—enabling instant collaboration and creating a single source of truth for your planning process.

Passkey

Introducing Enhancements to Block and Pickup Basic Reports

Expected Release Date: 11/26/2025

Overview:
We’re introducing an intermediate aggregation level in the Block and Pickup Basic Report to make reporting more intuitive and actionable.

You often rely on the Block and Pickup report to track reservations by attendee type across hotels and room types. Previously, the report only summarized data by attendee type and provided detailed stats at the room type level, without offering a clear hotel-level breakdown. This made it challenging to obtain a comprehensive view of reservations across multiple hotels.

Key Benefits:

We’re excited to announce that this limitation has been addressed! The report now includes an additional aggregation by hotel, giving you a clearer, more comprehensive view of:

• Attendee type pickup

• Hotel inventory and pickup

• Room type inventory and pickup (with detailed insights)

This enhancement enables more accurate and actionable reporting—especially useful when managing events with multiple hotels, attendee types, and room categories.

Tracking Now Available for Hotel Instruction Emails

Expected Release Date: 11/26/2025

Overview:

We’ve enhanced Hotel Instruction Emails to streamline Citywide coordination and improve visibility for your team and partners.

Starting October 22, all newly created events—and any hotels added to existing events—automatically receive instruction emails for Passkey events. These emails give clear, step-by-step guidance for hotels participating in an Organizer’s Citywide event, outlining how to interact with Passkey so reservations flow reliably into their inventory management systems.

We’ve added tracking so you can confirm delivery and engagement at a glance.

• See when instruction emails were sent and opened directly on the Smart Alerts page.

• Access the same send/open details in the Campaigns Report for broader reporting and follow-up.

These updates make it easier to ensure every hotel has what they need—reducing back-and-forth and helping you move faster with confidence.

Important Note:
This release enables tracking for scheduled emails only. Tracking for ad-hoc sends (using Send Now or Send Email to All Contacts buttons) will be available in 2026.

Looking ahead, we are planning several enhancements to further expand the capabilities of the new Hotel Instruction Emails:

• Streamlined Customization: Set up and adjust the schedule and recipients for Hotel Instruction Emails during both Event Creation and when adding hotels to an event (Add Hotel flow).

These upcoming features are designed to give you even greater control and visibility, making communication with hotel partners more efficient and effective.

Marketplace Intelligence: Star ratings by Northstar

Expected Release Date: 11/11/2025

Overview:

Cvent Travel has updated the source and display of hotel star ratings within Marketplace Intelligence. Through a new partnership with Northstar Ratings, star ratings will be more consistent, merit-based, and globally comprehensive. These changes will also make competitive comparisons easier in markets with limited available rates.

Key Benefits:

• Greater accuracy and coverage: Leverages a leading ratings source for broader property inclusion and more reliable star ratings.

• Consistency you can trust: A single, merit-based methodology improves apples-to-apples comparisons across suppliers.

• Stronger reporting fidelity: Ratings are unified across Marketplace Intelligence, reducing discrepancies between sourcing and analytics.

• Better insights in smaller markets: Lower rate requirements help you build comp sets and benchmark performance where data is scarce.

• Faster decision-making: Easier comp set creation and clearer ratings streamline competitive analysis and monitoring.
