Passkey Enabled Indicator on Bid Comparison Reports

Suppliers want to inform planners about many promoting factors, not just in their venue profile but also during the RFP lifecycle.

      What's Changed:

      • This update enhanced the Bid Comparison Report with the Passkey-enabled venues indicator.

      • The new field will be available on all standard reports within the Venue Information reporting category

      • It will not appear on previously saved custom templates

Benefits: This enhancement makes it easier for suppliers to inform planners about various promoting factors during the RFP lifecycle and for planners to identify Passkey-enabled friendly venues within the report as they compare bids.

Check out more enhancements made to Bid Comparison Reports in the previous releases.

      Sustainability for Venue Profile Pages

What's Changed: We are introducing a new section on the Venue Profile page, titled "Sustainability," which will be available under the overview section. The Sustainability section will be divided into two parts: one will hold certificates obtained by the respective venue, and the other will have details related to Sustainable Activities, followed by venues.

Planners will also be able to view detailed information on the certifications obtained by venues and on sustainable activities followed by venues using the "View Details" button.

We are also introducing a leaf icon, which will be added to the header section with the Venue name on the Venue profile page. This aims to help planners explicitly identify venues following sustainable practices.

Benefits: Enhanced Venue Profile Pages to incorporate sustainability information that will help planners and third parties make informed decisions about venue selection.

To do this, we have integrated with Be-cause, a trusted third-party vendor that certifies venues based on their sustainable practices, which will be available in the Cvent Supplier Network.

Enhanced UI and UX of Search Homepage on Cvent Supplier Network

      What's Changed:

Based on insights from user and market research, we have enhanced the Search homepage with improved accessibility design and optimized mobile and tablet experiences for planners.

      • The Search Bar is now more compact, and the Regions filter, previously accessible from a separate list of filters, can now be accessed via an icon on the search bar itself.

      • Now, guest room check-in and check-out dates can be entered directly from the search bar on the home page to easily find venues.

      • Additionally, the search bar will always be visible at the top, even when users scroll down the page to access other features.

      • Discover Cvent’s Top Award Winners, where planners can explore the best hotels and destinations from around the world in Cvent's Top Lists.

        Enhanced Search Homepage

Benefits: The enhanced search bar makes it easier for planners to quickly find the desired venues by location, date, and event size, speeding up venue selection.

      Event Diagramming

      Introducing AI-Powered 3D Event Designer

      Release Date: 05/29/2025

What's Changed: Powered by AI, the 3D Event Designer enables planners to generate event setups within a venue's Photo-Realistic 3D by interacting with a chat. Event planners can access the 3D virtual space through the Cvent Supplier Network or their Interactive Floor Plans, where they can use natural language to suggest different layouts, setup styles, and attendee numbers.

See the 3D Event Designer in action below:

      Benefits:

      • See space during the venue sourcing process, visualize different layouts and setup styles instantly in 3D.

      • Effortlessly design setups without going onsite and before making your selection.

      • Get the details you need to confidently book space.

Two-Way Integration Between Cvent Event Diagramming and Event Registration

What's Changed: Cvent offers a comprehensive range of products for managing event registrations. However, the original seating functionality in Event Registration is somewhat limited and does not visually indicate table placements within the room, which is often a key factor in making seating decisions.

By enabling two-way data sync between both products:

      • Customers with registration access can import a list of Cvent registrants into Cvent Event Diagramming (CED) and use the visual seating tool to assign attendees to tables.

      • These seating assignments will be displayed in the Cvent event, including in OnArrival, printed on badges, and included in alert messages.

      • Syncs occur automatically, ensuring users have accurate information even as guests register, attendees cancel, or last-minute seating adjustments are made.

See the data sync in action below:

Benefits: By integrating and syncing information across Cvent products, we empower planners with a truly seamless experience, allowing them to focus more on their events and less on managing details.

Improved Rewards Program Mapping In Room List Manager

We are introducing an easier way for planners and hoteliers to process room lists containing hotel rewards programs and numbers using RLM (Room List Manager).

      What's Changed:

Users previously needed to map specialized fields to apply rewards programs and numbers, which were not visible in other Passkey reservation channels for viewing and editing. Now, the process is much more consistent and transparent.

The RLM mapping and editing process has been enhanced to clearly label reward fields.

      • Mapping Fields: The "Custom 9" and "Custom 10" fields have been renamed to "Rewards Program" and "Reward Member Account."

      • Data Transfer: Rewards program and account numbers are added to the reservation fields, and updates in RLM synchronize across other Passkey reservation channels such as Multi-Room Booking, Call Center, and the Booking Site.

      • Managing Reservations: The rewards program and account fields are clearly labeled throughout the user interface for easy identification.

      • Exporting Roomlists: The headers of the exported files now include the rewards data.

      • Downloading A Template: The standard Passkey room list template has been updated to reflect the rewards data.

      Benefits:

Improved Efficiency: A streamlined and consistent process for mapping, processing, and updating rewards data within RLM.

Enhanced Attendee Satisfaction: Rewards data from room lists can be captured immediately and applied to attendees' reservations. Guest acknowledgments provide proof that rewards are linked to the group reservation and, for integrated hotels, are reflected instantly in attendees' accounts.

Note: Customers using existing mapping templates that mapped the "Custom 9" and "Custom 10" fields will need to re-select and save their mapping template after the feature is released. This is a one-time action.

Enhanced Banners on Event Inventory Page

We are excited to introduce a redesigned and enhanced banner system on the Event Inventory page.

      What's Changed:

      The redesigned banners now include:

      • Hotel Name: Conveniently located for enhanced visibility and easier identification.

Reservation Delivery Method: A clear indication of whether the hotel uses one-way or two-way integration, or if it utilizes RezHUB.

Integration Status: Clear markers to indicate whether the integration is complete or incomplete.

Reservation Access Date: Easily view available access dates to assist in planning.

Hotel Contacts: Key hotel contact details are displayed prominently for quick communication. If any contact information is missing, users can add it directly.

Benefits: This update provides a cleaner, more intuitive interface that emphasizes key hotel details, simplifying the inventory management experience.

Hotel Users Can Add Smart Alert In A Citywide Event

      Released Date: 05/29/2025

      What's Changed:

      Features:

      • Hotels have the ability to create new Smart Alerts and Updates directly within the system.

      • Hotels can access and add alerts and updates from their own internal library.

      • Hotels retain editing rights for all alerts and updates they create, and they can duplicate any of their own alerts and updates for reuse.

      • Hotels are permitted to delete any alerts and updates they have created.

      Visibility and Permissions:

      • Alerts and updates created by one hotel (e.g., Hotel A) are not visible to other hotels (e.g., Hotel B).

      • Each hotel can only see and manage the content they have added.

Benefits: This enhancement allows each participating hotel to manage its alerts and updates independently, with clear boundaries to ensure content control, user access, and message relevance.
