Hotel Details in Bid Negotiations

What's Changed

When you review a hotel bid, you can now open a new tab in the buyer bid workflow to see the property information the hotel submitted with that bid. This includes amenities, services, policies, and other property details, displayed alongside the bid’s rates and terms.

Benefit

Review a hotel’s bid-specific property details alongside its rates and terms. You can:

• See the property information the hotel submitted for that bid in one place.

• Skip exporting the bid to a spreadsheet or relying on a general Hotel Profile to find bid-specific details.

Negotiation Benchmarks in Cvent Travel

What's Changed

If your travel program includes Marketplace Intelligence, you can now review its benchmarks directly in the Cvent Travel negotiation canvas, alongside the hotel offer details they help assess.

• Competitive set AWR: See the competitive set’s average weighted rate (AWR), its low-to-high range, and the number of offers. Results are filtered by tier and distance, with a marker showing where the hotel’s AWR falls within the range.

• Hotel’s current offer: See the offer’s market percentile, current AWR and change from the previous offer, last year’s AWR, and a callout comparing the offer with the market.

• Seasons and Rates: Compare each season’s best available rate (BAR) with the average BAR. A market-range bar marks where the current offer falls.

  

• Amenities, Policies, and Taxes and Fees: See items missing from the bid and how often the competitive set includes them. In Amenities, you can add a missing amenity directly from the insight panel. Items already in the bid can show an inclusion badge, such as “Included in rate 92% of the time.”

  

Booking Insights with Emburse

Shared Emburse customers who purchase the Booking Insights Connector through Cvent can also see a Booking Insights tile. It shows the program’s average booked rate (ABR) at the hotel, total room nights, and total spend, for year to date or the last 365 days. A callout compares the hotel’s current AWR with the ABR.

Marketplace Intelligence and Booking Insights with Emburse are separate offerings, and either can be used without the other. Marketplace Intelligence (MI) is available to corporate travel managers and travel management companies (TMCs) running travel programs that have purchased MI. Booking Insights with Emburse is available to shared Emburse customers who have purchased the Booking Insights Connector through Cvent. Each tile appears automatically for eligible customers; no additional setup is required. Customers without the relevant offering won’t see its insights. These buyer-side benchmarks are not visible to hotels.

Use in-context benchmarks to evaluate hotel proposals and decide what to negotiate.

• Assess offers in context: Compare a hotel’s rates with competitive-set benchmarks, market ranges, and seasonal BAR data without opening a separate MI report or cross-referencing details by hand.

• Spot opportunities in the offer: See where the bid is missing amenities, policies, or other items and how often the competitive set includes them. Add missing amenities directly from the insight panel.

• Ground decisions in your own booking data: If your program uses Booking Insights with Emburse, compare the hotel’s current AWR with your average booked rate and review room nights and spend to understand what your travelers actually paid.
