      Enhanced Room Selection Experience on Passkey's Attendee Booking Site

      Overview

      Exciting news! Building on February’s Hotel Selection Page update, we’re now refreshing the Room Selection Page on the Attendee Booking Site.

      This redesign features a cleaner layout, richer visuals, and key enhancements to make the booking process smoother and more intuitive. Thanks to improved information and a streamlined flow, attendees will find it easier to compare options and select the right room.

      This update will help ensure your attendees have a seamless booking experience—making it easier for them to secure the right accommodations and boosting overall event satisfaction.

      What’s New?

      Revamped Page Layout
      A fresh, intuitive design makes browsing and selecting rooms smoother than ever.
      Promo cubes now appear more prominently at the top of the page.

      Enhanced Header
      Now featuring the hotel name and a striking featured image—adding context and visual appeal right from the start.

      Smarter Room Cards
      Each room card now highlights key details to help guests choose confidently:

      • Guest capacity indicators

      • Bed type details

      • Selected stay dates

      • Availability alerts for sold-out, waitlisted, or partially available nights

      “View All Available Dates” Upgrade
      A brand-new calendar experience makes it easier to explore availability at a glance.
      Now you can select dates directly within the calendar, with added details like nightly pricing, alerts, and a clear view of the total cost.

      Comprehensive Room Details
      A dedicated section now brings together everything guests need to know:

      • High-quality room images

      • Clear, concise room descriptions

      • All applicable policies (e.g., cancellation, deposit)

      Transparent Pricing with Taxes & Fees

      A new modal that breaks down pricing night by night, including all taxes and fees for greater clarity.

      Smarter, Integrated Alerts
      All existing alerts remain supported, including:

      • Minimum night stay requirements

      • Waitlist notifications

      • Maximum/minimum room count warnings

      Now displayed in a more streamlined, integrated way for added clarity.

      New Map Experience on the Attendee Booking Site

      Overview

      We’ve enhanced the maps experience on the attendee booking site to make finding the perfect hotel near your event easier and more intuitive. The updated feature provides a clearer view of hotel options, distances, and travel modes, empowering attendees to make smarter, more informed booking decisions.

      What’s New?

      Hotel Cards on the Map: Hotels now appear as interactive cards directly on the map, highlighting key details along with the automatically calculated distance from the event venue.

      Three Travel Modes/Tabs:

      • Default: Shows distances based on the mode chosen at the event level (either walking or driving).

      • Driving: Displays driving distance and time from the venue to each hotel.

      • Walking: Displays walking distance and time from the venue to each hotel.

      Interactive Focus: Clicking on a hotel card centers the map on that hotel and reveals more information about it.

      Clearer Map Layout:
      The map now offers a clean, intuitive view of both hotels and the event venue, making it easy to see proximity at a glance.

      Impact

      • Smarter Hotel Selection: Attendees can compare hotels based on distance and the travel mode that works best for them.

      • Convenience: Distances and travel options are calculated automatically and displayed directly on the site—no need to consult external maps.

      • Better Experience: The upgrade creates a smoother, more informative booking journey, saving time and reducing guesswork.
