It's almost time to go back to school, and we're making sure you're prepared with these exciting product updates!

Top News: Bulk Delete Exhibitors and more

The product team has 3 big improvements they're working to deliver in this window that we know you’re going to love:

  1. Exhibitor Bulk Delete - Currently, deleting exhibitors individually can be a cumbersome process. With this update, you can delete an event's exhibitors in bulk. For example, if an event is copied, cleaning up the exhibitor list can be done more quickly and efficiently by deleting unnecessary exhibitors in bulk.

    Delete exhibitors can be found under the Exhibitor Actions menu in Exhibitor Management

    • You cannot delete exhibitors if:

      • The exhibitor has LeadCapture licenses

      • The exhibitor has Leads collected

      • Registrations have been assigned to the exhibitor

      • Booth staff have been registered through exhibitor registrations

      • The exhibitor has completed tasks

  2. Exhibitor Cookie Banner Enhancements - The Exhibitor Portal Cookie banner now supports displaying both Cvent's and your organization’s Cookie Lists and Privacy Policies. Previously, only Cvent's Privacy Policy was available in the cookie banner. This update allows exhibitors' visitors to easily access and review the list of cookies being collected without needing to contact the event planner or support teams for more information. Additionally, exhibitors can now also choose to accept only essential cookies from the cookie customization screen.

    You can access these settings by navigating to the privacy section of Exhibitor Settings in Exhibitor Management.

  3. Update Quantity Items for Registered Attendees via REST API - We are excited to announce an enhancement to our REST API that simplifies the management of attendee merchandise selections. This update introduces a new endpoint, enabling you to efficiently update quantity Items for registered attendees in real time, improving flexibility and control over event planning and inventory management.

    Key Highlights:

    • The new REST API will be available under the Events category as "Update Quantity Item"

    • Update attendee's quantity items through a dedicated REST API endpoint.

    • Modify merchandise quantities based on attendee preferences.

    API Endpoint: https://api-platform.cvent.com/ea/quantity-items/{quantityItemId}

    • Required parameters:

      • eventId: The unique identifier of the event.

      • attendeeId: The unique identifier of the attendee.

      • updatedQuantity: The new quantity for the merchandise item.
