Top News: Resend Confirmation Emails, Security Updates and more

The product team has 2 big improvements they're working to deliver in this window that we know you’re going to love:

1. Resend Confirmation email for Unsubscribed and Opted-Out Attendees - You will now be able to resend "confirmation email" to unsubscribed and opted-out attendees to attendees in case they need another copy. You will only be able to do so by using the "Resend Confirmation Email" option present in the "Actions" dropdown on the event level "Attendee details" page.

   Opted-out/Unsubscribed attendees will still keep receiving the auto-triggered emails that are sent on completing an action, like they do today (for example: registration confirmation, cancellation confirmation). You will still not be able to send any emails to opted-out/unsubscribed attendees through methods like :

   • Manual email send

   • Scheduled email send

   

2. Validate Account User profile updates with Account Password - In our ongoing commitment to account security, all Account Users must validate any updates to user details with their current password. This additional layer of security ensures that only authorized individuals can update user's details and prevents someone from hijacking your Cvent account. In the event of 5 consecutive incorrect password attempts to validate changes, the associated username will be locked for 30 minutes, and the user will also be logged out from Cvent. This does not apply to Users who use Single Sign On.

   
   

3 additional improvements to make your job easier

• Unified Top Navigation - We've updated the old top navigation with a new experience that looks nearly identical, except for the user profile icon. The icon will now show the first name initial of the logged-in user.

• Exhibitor Leads Report Update - We've added a new "Export All Leads" extract report, which will replace the previous CSV export from the home page.

• REST API GET and PUT Endpoints for Updating Registration Type Capacity - You will now be able to fetch and update the registration type capacity through API. You view/manage the registration type object within an event via REST API using a combination of these two calls.
