Self-Serve Setup for Custom & Envelope Domains (SPF Only)

We are excited to introduce the Self-Serve Setup for Custom & Envelope Domains, a transformative feature that empowers account administrators with full control over their branded email sender domains.

Now, with this self-serve capability, you can independently add, verify, edit, and manage planner and envelope domains using an intuitive UI.

This feature enables you to send emails from your own branded domains, enhancing brand authenticity, professionalism, and attendee trust. It also improves email deliverability by leveraging the organization’s domain reputation, ensures compliance with enterprise IT policies, and provides planners with the independence to manage their domain setup swiftly, especially for time-sensitive events.

      What's New?

With this release, account admins can now set up and manage their own planner and envelope domains directly in the product, without opening a support ticket.

      Create a new planner domain
Go to Admin > Data Lists > Planner Domain and select Add New Domain to create your planner domain. During setup, you can also add your corresponding envelope domain.

      Update your DNS records
After saving the domain, Cvent will provide the required DNS records (CNAME/TXT). Add these records to your DNS provider so your domain can be validated for email sending.

      Verify your domain
Once your DNS changes have propagated, return to the domain setup page and verify the domain. This confirms that your planner and envelope domain are ready to use.

Start using the domain in your emails
After verification, the domain can be used for email communications across your account, helping you deliver branded emails with greater trust and consistency.

      Important Notes

      • The current release only covers the SPF (Sender Policy Framework) based authentication, enabling easy DNS TXT record setup for domain verification.

      • The upcoming phase will introduce DKIM-based authentication to further strengthen email security.
