      REST API Endpoints to Assign and Unassign Event Roles

      Expected release: November 4, 2026.

      What’s Changed

      • New REST API endpoints let you assign users to event roles and remove those assignments.

      • Manage Account Users by user ID and No Login Users by email address.

      • Optionally email an assigned user when a notification is configured for the event role.

      • API-created assignments follow the same visibility and workflow behavior as assignments made manually in Cvent.

      Benefit

      Spend less time managing role assignments across events, and keep them aligned between Cvent and your connected systems. The assign endpoint returns an assignment ID you can use to remove the assignment later through the API.
