Pricing Setup Workflow Redesign
Setting up your paid events can be a time-consuming and complex process, requiring navigation through multiple touch-points and challenging fee tables. Our goal is to enhance discoverability and user efficiency in this process.
Pain Points:
We are looking to address the following problems with Payments:
Discoverability of the feature to turn on Payments
Intuitiveness: It is very hard to know where in the event life cycle you should create fees
Navigation: Uncertainty about where in the menu to create payments
Points of Frustration: There are too many pitfalls in the creation of payments that cause frustration (adding the Payment widget to the canvas)
Visualization: It is hard to see the relationship between a person and what they will pay for that item
Approach:
It starts with allowing users to activate pricing directly from the registration overview page.
The in-line workflow of setting up admission items will allow adding corresponding fees to streamline the setup.
Additionally, we are redesigning the pricing page to improve the visualization of fee structures for better at-a-glance views. Planners will be able to clearly see the fees they’ve created for their event, including any early bird and refund policies, as well as how registration types relate to those fees.
These changes will significantly reduce complexity, enhancing efficiency and satisfaction as planners prepare their paid events for launch.
