iCapture: NPI Lookup

Overview

The NPI (National Provider Identifier) Lookup feature integrates with iCapture, enabling booth staff to seamlessly search and select healthcare providers’ NPI numbers using real-time contact information collected in the app. This enhancement supports efficient, accurate provider identification within event lead capture workflows—especially critical for healthcare, life sciences, and medical events where regulatory reporting and follow-up require precision.

Key Features

• Contact-Based NPI Search
  Booth staff can use attendee contact details (e.g., name, city, state, organization) captured in iCapture to perform instant searches against the national NPI database.

• Automated Suggestions
  As staff enter capture contact details, the system actively queries the NPI database and suggests potential provider matches.

• Selectable Match List
  A dynamic, user-friendly interface displays all candidate matches from the NPI database. Staff can quickly review details (such as provider name, specialty, address, and NPI) and select the correct NPI entry.

• Seamless Data Capture
  Once selected, the NPI is automatically linked to the contact record in iCapture, minimizing manual entry and reducing risk of errors.

• Integrated Compliance
  Captured NPI data is securely stored and can be exported or synced as part of Cvent’s broader data policies, supporting compliance standards for healthcare industry reporting.
