Jifflenow: Auto-Cancel when all External Attendees Decline

    STAGE: Development
    TABLE OF CONTENTS:

When external attendees decline a meeting, it shouldn't fall to meeting managers to manually hunt down and cancel each one. Jifflenow now supports automatic meeting cancellation when all external attendees have declined, eliminating a repetitive, error-prone cleanup task from already busy event workflows.

      Key Highlights:

      • Auto-Cancellation: The system cancels meetings automatically when all external attendees decline, with no manual intervention required.

      • Event Toggle: A new On/Off setting at the event level lets you decide which events use auto-cancellation and which require manual review.

      • Safe Default: The toggle ships off for all events — new and existing — so there's no behavior change until you choose to enable it.

      • Full Audit: Every auto-cancellation is logged in Meeting History with a clear, system-generated reason, distinguishable from manual cancellations.

      • Smart Scope: Auto-cancellation works across standard meetings, consecutive meetings, and MST meeting types.

      Why it should matter

      • Less Overhead: Meeting Managers no longer need to periodically scan for meetings where all externals have declined.

      • Fewer Errors: Automated cleanup prevents meetings from lingering on internal calendars long after they're no longer in use.

      • Meeting Manager Control: High-touch and executive events can keep the setting off to ensure every cancellation gets a human review.
