    Jifflenow: Check-in & No-show Only User Privilege

    STAGE: Development
    PROJECTED DONE: Q1 - 2025
    TABLE OF CONTENTS:

Many companies hire contractors or temporary employees specifically to perform check-ins during events. These users do not need access to edit or schedule meetings, but they need the ability to check in participants and manage no-shows.

In order to solve for this, a new user privilege in the user profile > instance setting will be introduced, the "Check-in & No-show Only" privilege, to enable temporary users to perform check-ins while restricting their access to administrative and meeting management functions.

      Key Highlights:

      1. Users with this permission will be able to :

        • View all meetings and sessions.

        • Perform participant check-ins and mark no-shows.

        • Add or remove participants from meetings (only during check-in).

        • Perform check-ins via:

          • Master Calendar

          • Meeting list

          • Preview pane

          • Meeting details

          • Badge scan page

        • Users with this permission, will not be able to do the the following:

          • Cannot request or schedule meetings.

          • Cannot access admin functionalities, such as user list pages or event settings (except where explicitly permitted).

      2. Configuration:

        • Event settings will include an option to enable the "Check-in & No-show Only" privilege under user profile - instance level permissions.

        • MMs and above can enable or disable this setting for specific users.

      3. Badge Scanning Integration:

        • When badge scanning is enabled, check-in users can:

          • Scan badges to check in participants automatically.

          • New users cannot be added to meetings during the scanning process.

        • Auto check-in configurations will remain unaffected.

      4. UI Adjustments:

        • Event Home Page:

          • "Request Meeting" option for check-in-only users will be hidden.

        • Meeting and Session Lists:

          • Meetings and sessions will be displayed for visibility but restrict scheduling/editing options.

        • User List:

          • Admins and MMs can filter event users by the "Check-in & No-show Only" in the User Management list.

        • Shared Links:

          • Check-in-only users will not have access to shared links.

      5. The new capability will be available in:

        • Web

        • Mobile

        • Salesforce (SFDC)

      6. This new privilege will not be available for:

        • Jifflenow for Outlook

        • Staff Scheduling
