Jifflenow: Enhancing Meeting Managers Flows with Self-Service Instance Configuration Controls
Currently, key instance-level configurations—such as hybrid event settings, topic customization, and notifications—can only be modified by Customer Success Managers (CSMs). This dependency creates inefficiencies, delays, and operational bottlenecks, as customers must contact support for every change. Meeting Managers (MMs) lack the autonomy to manage these critical settings, impacting their ability to configure events efficiently.
Solution:
Jifflenow will extend access to instance-level configurations for Meeting Managers (MMs) to improve efficiency and reduce reliance on support.
Key Enhancements:
Self-Service Controls: MMs can now directly modify configurations related to Notifications, Topics, Endorsements, and Double Requests through an improved UI.
Access Management: Configuration access will be controlled through the “Can manage settings of this instance” privilege, ensuring security while granting autonomy.
Enhanced Notification Settings: For granular control over internal and external communications, notifications will be split into two separate toggles—email and ICS notifications.
Audit Logging: Any configuration changes will be tracked in the Event History, capturing details such as the setting name, the user who made the update, and old vs. new values.
This update ensures a streamlined experience, reducing manual dependencies while maintaining security and control.
