Jifflenow: Improved Manual PII Deletion for External Attendees

    TABLE OF CONTENTS:

Managing attendee data responsibly is critical, but today's "Delete Personal Information" action can remove PII for external users whose events ended only recently, while teams are still actively reviewing post-event reports and analytics. Coming soon, Jifflenow will add a required inactivity threshold to the manual PII deletion flow, so only users who have been genuinely inactive for a configurable number of days are eligible for removal. This gives Meeting Managers a safer way to honor data deletion requests without disrupting active analysis

      Key Highlights

Inactivity Threshold: When running a PII deletion, users can now set a required "days of inactivity" value (default: 90 days, range: 30–730) that each selected attendee must meet before their data is removed.

Activity Check: The system evaluates each user's most recent activity across meetings, sessions, mappings, IRP requests, shared links, and staff schedules before allowing deletion.

Dual Eligibility: Only users who are both inactive beyond the threshold AND have no future or ongoing activity are passed to the obfuscation engine — both checks must pass.

Clear Exclusions: Users who don't meet the threshold are excluded from the run, with a plain-language reason displayed in the results summary (e.g., "User was active within the last 90 days").

Email Summary: Once the deletion run completes, an email is automatically sent to the initiator showing how many users were obfuscated, how many were skipped, and why.

Manual Control: The threshold is set per run — there is no background automation; Meeting Managers remain in full control of when and how deletions happen.

      Why Does It Matter

No Lost Data: Post-event analytics and reports stay intact because recently active users are protected from premature deletion.

Reduced Risk: The dual eligibility check and inactivity with no future activity close the gap where users with just-completed events could previously be caught in a bulk deletion.

Flexible Policy: The configurable threshold (30–730 days) allows each organization to align Jifflenow's deletion behavior with its own data retention policies.
