Jifflenow: Inbound Request Page (IRP): Rules‑Based Eligibility Engine for Meeting Request

    STAGE: Design
    PROJECTED DONE: Q2 - 2026
    TABLE OF CONTENTS:

We’re adding a configurable eligibility engine in IRP that automatically checks each inbound meeting request at the event level. This helps ensure that only qualified attendees can book meetings.
      The system can check:

      • Registration status

      • Allowed or blocked email domains

      • Caps on meeting requests per attendee

These checks reduce manual review and security risk.

Meeting Managers gains self‑serve controls, transparent rejection handling, and logged reasons for reporting and improving efficiency. This makes it easier to troubleshoot issues, report on activity, and improve efficiency over time.

      Key Highlights

      1. Rules‑based eligibility engine

Create event‑level rules that validate booking requests via IRP using registration status, allowed/blocked email domains, and maximum request counts per user to prevent unqualified or duplicate bookings.

      2. Self‑serve controls

Meeting Managers can define, edit, and apply rules directly in the UI with support for multiple rules, AND/OR logic, and engagement‑type scoping

      3. Transparent rejection handling

Rejected requests follow an automated email flow using configurable templates; reasons for each decision are logged to support reporting and audits.

      1. Clear history and export

The IRP listing includes explicit rejection reasons, displayed in the UI and in exports to enhance visibility and downstream reporting accuracy.

      Scope

      • Applies only to IRP Meetings

      Why It Matters

      • Reduce manual cross-referencing and operational overhead by automatically validating eligibility at request time, freeing Meeting Managers and SMEs to focus on high-value interactions.

      • Enhance security and trust by restricting bookings to registered individuals and approved domains, while preventing duplicate bookings that consume scarce inventory and lead to suboptimal attendee experiences.

      • Increase Meeting Manager's agility and transparency with self‑serve rules, clear rejection reasons, and exports that simplify reporting and audits across events and engagements.
