Jifflenow: UX Improvements to Engagement Type Settings

STAGE: Development
PROJECTED DONE: Q4 - 2024

This user story aims to enhance the user experience by ensuring seamless navigation and clarity when managing engagement settings.

Pop-up Behavior:

  • When a user clicks a hyperlink in a warning pop-up, the system will open the corresponding settings in a new tab.

  • The page will automatically scroll to the specific setting and highlight it, similar to the navigation experience when searching for settings.

The experience will apply to all the warning pop-ups from the below list:

  • Location Type Settings

    • Enable Offsite Location Type

  • Participant Options

    • At least one internal attendee is required

    • Relax this restriction for MMs/JMMs (applicable if the above is enabled)

  • IRP Settings

    • Auto Schedule - Mapped Request Page

    • Auto Schedule - Unmapped Request Page (All CTAs)

    • User Mapping Settings (New CTA)

    • Manage Engagement Type Access for future users

  • Sessions

    • Approval Process Change: Auto to Manual if IRP is enabled

    • Session IRP is enabled if the approval process is manual

We are also making textual updates in the labels:

  • Warning pop-up texts will be updated to follow this format: "Please ensure the following settings are done before enabling/disabling <Setting name>."

Settings that will be scoped for are:

    • Location Type Settings

    • Enable Offsite Location Type

    • Participant Options:

      • Update text for "Hide Internal Attendee section."

      • At least one internal attendee is required

      • Relax this restriction for MMs/JMMs (if enabled)

The UI Component will also be updated to the one that highlights CTAs to ensure it opens a new tab for all applicable pop-ups.

  • Ensure the UI component is updated for pop-ups related to enabling or disabling meeting cancellation reasons.

Also, for the Engagement Type Approval Process Settings, we are making UI alignment changes to the labels by splitting it into 2 lines for more readability. The updated screen would look like below
