Mapping Enhancement: Smarter Topic Routing & Visibility
Mapping meetings today lack the multi-level topic routing that General Meetings already support — forcing Meeting Managers at large events to manually verify and reassign SMEs and rooms, especially when topic hierarchies span multiple levels. At the same time, the Mapping list provides Meeting Managers with limited visibility into who is assigned to what. With this update, Jifflenow brings full multi-level topic parity to the Mapping booking flow, adds list-level SME and room visibility tools, and introduces a configurable role label so customers can use their own terminology. Together, these changes make Mapping ready for high-volume, high-complexity events without manual workarounds.
What’s new
Multi-level Topics: Meeting Requestors can now select topics across multiple levels (Category → Sub-category → Sub-sub-category) when booking Mapping meetings, and the system automatically routes them to the right SME and room.
Smart Routing: SMEs and rooms are filtered using AND logic across all selected topic levels, ensuring only eligible experts and locations appear in the booking flow — consistent with how General Meetings already behave.
IRP Parity: The Inbound Request Portal now applies multi-level topic filtering for Mapping meetings, showing attendees only the SME slots that match their selected topic.
Attendee Column: A new Internal Attendee column in the Mappings list displays the assigned SME's name directly in each row, so Meeting Managers can see who is assigned where at a glance — no need to open individual records.
Room Filter: A new Room Name filter on the Mapping list lets users instantly narrow assignments to one or more specific rooms, matching the filter behavior available in General Meetings.
Auto Approval: New Mappings are now automatically approved the moment they are created — whether through bulk upload or manually in the UI — and the Pending state has been removed from the experience entirely.
Why this matters
Less Manual Work: At large trade show–style events, meeting managers no longer need to manually verify or reassign SME–table associations when topic hierarchies are involved.
Operational Scale: High-volume events with hundreds of appointments across complex topic structures can now route automatically and accurately, reducing last-minute floor interventions.
Faster Discovery: The Internal Attendee column and Room filter dramatically reduce the time to answer "who is assigned to which room" — directly from the list view without opening records.
