Salesforce Financial Data
Summary
Customers using the Salesforce App integration will now be able to sync "Financial Data" from Cvent to Salesforce. This includes orders, order items, transactions, taxes, and discount codes and the related fields accompanying them.
Problem
Customers are currently using both the Salesforce App and API to pull complete financial data for invoice generation in their Financial system, including tax breakdowns and payment method details.
Salesforce is used for fundraising reporting and reconciliation, but the current process involves manual calculation of tax-deductible amounts from donations, highlighting the need for automation.
Currently, financial data sharing is manual - the events team downloads attendee lists with discount codes from Cvent and shares them with departments who need updates on code usage.
