For teams running field events, hybrid meetings, and marketing programs, adding a virtual component has meant patching together meeting links, manually tracking who showed up online, and reconciling data across two disconnected systems. Virtual Attendance for Cvent Essentials changes that — in beta, starting April 20th.
Organizers can add a virtual component to any Essentials event using the platform their organization already relies on — Zoom, Webex, ON24, or Microsoft Teams — while managing all registrations, communications, and attendance data in one place. Attendees receive personalized join links automatically in their confirmation and reminder emails, and attendance data syncs back to Essentials after the event.
Why it matters: Teams can include virtual attendees without managing separate in-person and virtual events.
