Cvent Transient
Policy & Amenity Defaults in Program Setup (New UX)
Expected Release Date: 02/25/2026
What's Changed: We’ve added account-level Policy and Amenity Defaults to the New UX Program Setup for Cvent Transient. This restores the ability for National Account Managers (NAMs) and Admins to pre-configure key requirements by account, and have those settings flow directly into supplier-facing RFPs.
Key changes include:
Policy defaults such as:
Commission percentage
Early checkout fee
Locking options to prevent suppliers from editing certain policy fields
Amenity defaults such as:
Breakfast inclusion
Wireless internet inclusion
Parking inclusion
Account-level variations, allowing unique defaults per account to reflect specific RFP requirements
Role-based control, where NAMs/Admins define defaults in Program Setup and those selections flow downstream into supplier-facing RFPs for greater accuracy
This update brings the New UX back in line with a core capability previously available in the legacy experience.
Benefit: This enhancement makes it faster and more reliable to set up RFPs in Cvent Transient by reintroducing powerful defaulting options at the account level.
Key benefits include:
Increased efficiency: Less manual setup and faster program creation, as key policies and amenities are pre-populated.
Greater accuracy: Consistent, account-specific defaults automatically flow into supplier-facing RFPs, reducing the risk of errors.
Stronger controls: Ability to lock select fields so they cannot be edited by suppliers, helping enforce your business rules.
Improved alignment with existing workflows: Restores a highly valued capability from the legacy platform, supporting smoother adoption of the New UX.
