Cvent Transient
Room Type Order in Negotiation
Expected Release Date: 07/24/2026
What’s Changed: Cvent Transient will now validate room type order by rate before a negotiation can be submitted, bringing the Negotiation workflow in line with the Initial Proposal experience.
If room types are not listed in ascending rate order, hotel users will see a validation message that stops submission until the order is corrected.
That message will include a link that automatically reorders room types in ascending rate order, making it faster to fix the submission and move forward.
For ordering logic, the system checks the LRA Single rate first. If an LRA rate is not available, it uses the NLRA Single rate instead. Extended Stay rates are not included in this validation.
This update is most relevant for hotel-side users working in negotiations and for buyers who review room offers across bids.
Benefit: This update helps you keep room offers organized and consistent during negotiations. It also reduces unnecessary back-and-forth by flagging room types that are out of order before a negotiation is submitted.
Keep room types in a consistent ascending-rate order for easier review.
Reduce extra negotiation rounds caused by misordered bids.
Correct room ordering faster with a one-click reorder option in the validation prompt.
Apply a clearer, more predictable ordering method based on the applicable single-room rate.
