      Cvent Transient

Streamlined Login via Single Sign-On (SSO)

      Expected Release Date: 05/20/2026

What's Changed: Hotel chains using Cvent Transient can now sign in to supply.lanyon.com with their existing corporate credentials through their organization’s identity provider, instead of managing a separate Cvent Transient username and password.

A new “Login with SSO” option appears on the supply portal login page, and users enter their corporate domain to be routed to the correct identity provider. After authentication, users are returned to Cvent Transient with the same roles and permissions they already have today.

This update supports both SP-initiated login from the Cvent Transient login page and IdP-initiated login from a company SSO portal such as an intranet or Okta tile.

Traditional username and password login will still be available, so organizations can enable SSO without disrupting users who are not ready to transition right away.

Prerequisites: Before SSO can be enabled for your organization, the following must be in place:

      • An active Cvent Transient license (RFP Publisher or equivalent).

      • A corporate identity provider that supports SAML 2.0 or OpenID Connect (OIDC).

      • A Cvent Transient application configured within your identity provider to generate the required metadata.

      • Existing user accounts in the Cvent Transient supply portal.

      • Required IdP metadata to share with Cvent during setup:

        • SAML: Entity ID, X.509 certificate(s), and SSO URL.

        • OIDC: Client ID, client secret, and related configuration details.

SSO authenticates existing users only and does not automatically create new accounts.

This functionality is available for purchase, and if you’re interested in enabling it for your organization, please reach out to your Cvent account manager.

Benefits: This update makes it easier for your teams to access Cvent Transient using the credentials they already know, while aligning login with your organization’s existing authentication standards. It can also reduce password-related support overhead for organizations managing large user populations across brands and properties.

      • Security alignment: Apply your existing corporate authentication controls to Cvent Transient logins automatically.

      • Less support overhead: Reduce password resets and account lockout incidents tied to separate platform credentials.

      • Faster day-to-day use: Give users a faster path into the platform through your company’s SSO portal.

      • Consistent access: Keep the same roles, views, and permissions users already have today.

Auto-Populate Blackout Dates and Room Counts

      Expected Release Date: 05/20/2026

What’s Changed: Hotels using Cvent Transient will now see blackout dates and room count data automatically pulled in from their approved property profile when working on a bid. This happens when you open a bid rate plan, and room count data also auto-populates on the Review Proposal screen.

You no longer need to use manual Copy from Profile links for blackout dates or room count.

The pre-populated information is just a starting point, so you can still edit, delete, or add blackout dates before submitting, and saved room count values will remain in place on future visits instead of re-populating from the profile again.

Benefits: This update helps you move through the RFP submission process faster by cutting out extra manual steps and bringing important profile data into your bid automatically.

      • Less manual work: You do not need to manually copy blackout dates or room count data into each bid.

      • Faster submissions: Reducing repeated actions can save time, especially for properties participating in multiple programs.

      • More flexibility: You can still adjust the pre-filled data before submitting your proposal.

      • Less rework: Once room count values are saved, they stay in place on later visits.
