Reintroduced GBTA Field 175 "Load Rates in GDS"

Expected Release: July 1, 2025

We are pleased to announce the return of GBTA Field 175: “Load rates in GDS” to the new user experience (UX). This enhancement restores one of the most requested and widely used RFP fields, ensuring a seamless and familiar process for suppliers.

Background

GBTA Field 175 is essential for confirming whether negotiated rates will be loaded into the Global Distribution System (GDS). This confirmation helps ensure rate visibility, compliance, and a smooth rate loading process.

Previously, in the legacy workflow, this field could be:

  • Requested and marked as required during program setup

  • Used as a negotiation point based on the supplier’s bid

When the new UX initially launched, support for this field was temporarily unavailable, leading to workflow gaps and strong feedback from the hotel and buyer communities.

What’s New

With this release, GBTA Field 175 is now fully integrated as a policy field in the new UX, offering greater control and consistency.

Key Enhancements

  • Policy-Based Governance:
“Load rates in GDS” now follows the standard policy workflow. National Account Managers (NAMs) and RFP Administrators can set the desired response during setup, and enforce it through policy locks at the Domain Rate Plan level.

  • Integrated Across Modules:
    Field 175 is available in:

    • Program Setup (for non-certified accounts)

    • Domain Rate Plans

    • Property Rate Plans

    • Attachment Workflow (the field’s value is auto-populated based on the supplier profile for accuracy)

    • Negotiation

  • Improved Buyer-Supplier Alignment:
Suppliers have clear visibility into the field’s status and expectations throughout the submission process.

Benefits for Suppliers

  • Clear, consistent expectations for rate loading in the GDS

  • Reduced follow-ups and errors through policy enforcement

  • A familiar negotiation point for buyers and suppliers

  • Consistency across both legacy and new workflows

This update is designed to streamline your RFP process, improve compliance, and enhance collaboration with corporate buyers.
