New Option to Hide Distance Between Hotel and Event Location

We’re excited to introduce a new configuration option in Passkey that gives event planners more control over the attendee booking experience. While showing the distance from hotels to the event location can help attendees choose accommodations, it may not be ideal for events with multiple venues—such as film festivals or sporting events—where a single distance could be confusing.

What's Changed: A new setting allows event planners to hide the “Distance from Venue” information on the attendee booking site. When enabled, this option removes both the distance display and the ability to sort hotels by distance, creating a cleaner and more flexible booking experience. The setting is event-specific and can be previewed before publishing.  

Benefit: This new feature provides event planners with greater flexibility to tailor the booking site to the specific needs of their event. It also enhances the attendee experience, particularly for events with multiple venues, by reducing potential confusion and creating a more streamlined booking process.

A new checkbox option has been added under:
Event → Website → Event Website → Advanced → Maps → Settings

• Checkbox: Hide “Distance from Venue” everywhere it appears

• Default: Unchecked (distances will continue to display by default).

• When checked: The distance between the venue and hotels will no longer appear on the attendee booking site. The setting is event-specific and can be previewed before publishing.

• Sorting -When this option is checked, it will hide the sort by distance feature on the booking site, ensuring users no longer see or use distance-based sorting.
