Sustainability Info for More Hotels in Passkey

Expected Release Date: Rolling out starting 05/21/2026

What’s Changed: Earlier this year, we introduced sustainability credentials in Passkey for hotels participating through BeCause, making verified sustainability information visible within the hotel experience and attendee booking flow.

This new update builds on that foundation by expanding support to hotels that do not use BeCause but manage their sustainability credentials directly in their Cvent Supplier Network venue profile.

As a result, Passkey can now surface sustainability credentials from either source — BeCause-synced data or credentials managed directly in CSN — creating a more unified sustainability experience across more hotels.

Benefits: This update expands the work we already started with BeCause and brings sustainability visibility to a broader set of hotels in Passkey.

You get a more consistent way to evaluate hotel sustainability information, while hotels have more flexibility in how they share their sustainability efforts.

• Builds on existing BeCause support: Passkey already supported sustainability credentials for participating hotels through BeCause.

• Expands coverage: Hotels that are not onboarded to BeCause can now also display sustainability credentials in Passkey.

• Creates a more consistent experience: Sustainability information is surfaced in a unified way at the hotel level, regardless of where the data comes from.
