Integrations
Microsoft Teams Integration - Updates
Overview
The Microsoft Teams integration has been updated to reflect recent changes in the Microsoft Teams platform and to provide event organizers with enhanced flexibility and control. These improvements support more accurate attendance tracking, expanded walk-in management, and customizable participation criteria.
Key Updates
'Microsoft Organizer' Custom Field Renamed to 'Microsoft Co-Organizer'
To reflect recent enhancements in Microsoft Teams webinar management and align with updated API policies, the "Microsoft Organizer" custom field will be renamed "Microsoft Co-Organizer.
Microsoft Teams no longer allows webinars to be created via the API on behalf of another user. Only the original organizer or designated co-organizers can manage and update webinars.
Co-organizers now have expanded permissions, enabling them to edit event details, publish, and cancel webinars. This provides full parity with the main organizer for event management tasks.
The new field name accurately represents the collaborative management model in Teams webinars, where multiple co-organizers can be assigned to help oversee and run events.
Expanded Walk-in Support
The integration now supports tracking walk-ins at both the session and event levels. This enhancement enables more comprehensive reporting for participants who join without prior registration.Configurable Minimum Participation Duration
Organizers can now define a minimum participation duration using a custom field in Cvent.Attendance data can be filtered based on a configurable threshold that the organizer sets.
For example, while MS Teams may mark a participant as attended even if they join for just 1 minute, organizers can now specify a minimum duration (e.g., 30 minutes) to consider a participant as "checked in."

No changes to authorization methods or required permissions.
Existing customer integrations and workflows remain unaffected.
No action is required from customers.

Reporting
Enhanced Cross Event Report - Event Feedback Detail
The enhancement provides planners with a faster and more targeted feedback analysis experience. We have upgraded the report’s data source for improved performance and scalability, resulting in quicker load times and a more reliable workflow, especially when working with large volumes of feedback across multiple events.
Additionally, we have introduced a new event filter, allowing planners to select and analyze feedback for up to 50 specific events in a single report run. This targeted filtering empowers the planners to focus on the most relevant events, making cross-event comparisons and trend analysis more efficient than ever.
• Optimized data source for faster, more reliable report generation for large volumes of feedback across multiple events.
• New event filter: Select up to 50 events to tailor your report to the events that matter most.
