Product & Solution Evolution Updates
We're always working to make our products and solutions better for our customers. Sometimes we need to retire older technology and features to support the best experience and incorporate new technology. Review the list below to stay in the know about current, evolving technology and any actions you may need to take.
1. Auto Event Creation in Workflow - Auto Event Creation is moving from MRF to Workflow for a more streamlined setup. Groups A & D should update their Auto Event Creation workflows by October 30, 2026. Dates for all other groups are still TBD.
2. Events+ Event Calendars - Event calendars have moved into Events+ for a more modern experience. As of November 2, 2026, the Events Calendar site designer has been sunset, and calendars should now be created and hosted in Events+. Extension requests can still be submitted, but customers who didn't submit by October 29 will see a lapse in their ability to use the legacy calendar. Customers with embedded calendars should also replace their legacy embed code, as embedded widgets won't redirect automatically.
3. Exhibitor Resources - E-Literature in Exhibitor Management is being replaced by Exhibitor Resources, the go-forward home for exhibitor content. Effective November 4, 2026. Customers still using E-Literature should move their content over now.
4. Cvent Payments - We're moving to more modern payment options. If using the legacy Cvent Payment Services (CPS), you should be moving to Cvent Payments or another supported gateway. Guardrails limiting CPS use in new events are already in place, and with less than a month to go, all CPS transactions must be completed by December 1, 2026.
5. OnArrival Badge Designer - Badge design is evolving. As the legacy badge designer is sunset on December 31, 2026, customers should transition to the OnArrival Badge Designer. Customers with saved badge templates or event-copy workflows should update those before year-end to ensure a smooth transition.
6. New Custom Domain Provider - We're upgrading custom domains to a newer, more modern provider. Clients on the legacy custom domain setup need to migrate to the new Custom Domain Provider by December 31, 2026, and the Integrations team is working with customers to complete the migration.
7. Payflow Pro alternatives - Cvent Payments, PPCP, or other newer gateway payment solutions are available as support for PayPal Payflow Pro (PFP) is being retired. Guardrails for earlier waves are already in place, and Wave 3 is scheduled for January 15, 2027. Existing events already using PFP will continue as-is.
