Top News: Cvent and Event Diagramming Sync Updates and more

The product team has 1 big improvement they're working to deliver in this window that we know you’re going to love:

  1. Cvent Event/Event Diagramming 1-way Autosync and SSO - In this release, we now allow for SSO Login authentication from Event Diagramming to Cvent Event and allow for the automatic sync of attendee changes from Cvent to Event Diagramming (CED)

    • Autosync: Previously, when our system detected a change to the attendee list from Cvent — a new registration, a cancellation, changes to attendee information, or even a check in – you were required to manually accept the update before the change synced to their attendee list. With our newest release, changes to the attendee list will simply flow into CED. You will receive a toast notification when new updates come through, where you can choose to view the updates if desired, but no interaction is required to see the change.

    • Login/SSO: Previously, you were asked to input their Cvent credentials within CED to see their active Cvent Events. Now, when you click “Log in,” you will be routed to login.cvent.com to utilize the existing Cvent login structure. Once logged in, you will be redirected back to your CED event, where you can complete the attendee list selection process.

Additionally, users who log into Cvent through SSO will now be able to connect to the integration via SSO on the same page.

A user must be actively logged into Cvent during their CED session to receive updates. The connection between CED and Cvent is not saved at the event level; it is saved by user. Once there is an active session for a user logged into Cvent, CED can share the updates to the attendee list among all users concurrently viewing the diagram (whether the others are logged in to Cvent or not), but there MUST be a user logged into Cvent with an active session in order for those updates to flow in. If there is not an active and logged in user, attendee list updates will flow into CED as soon as a new connection is established.

Starting August 7th, we will gradually release this update to users over the span of 2 weeks. All accounts will have access by August 21st and can be added earlier if requested.

1 additional improvement to make your job easier

If you thought the above items are exciting, wait until you see what else the team plans to release in the next launch window:

  • Export all leads report consolidation - In order to provide a consistent reporting experience for leads information, the Export all leads reports has been removed from the Exhibitors tab in Exhibitor Management, and you can access the leads data through the Lead by Exhibitor Details report.
