Planner Navigator Updates

In this release of Planner Navigator improvements, we have increased the number of planners in Planners to Meet, expanded our filter offerings, modified the way users reach out to planners, and are giving users the ability to default saved searches.

Expected Release Date: On hold, stay tuned for updates

Planners to Meet Expansion

Customers will see a 2-5x increase in the number of planners in their Planners To Meet tab, depending on the size of their market. To do so, we are expanding the current validations around major metropolitan areas (MMAs) to continue ensuring leads are qualified. Here are the changes for planners who have opted in to share RFP Showcase data in Planner Navigator:

  • MMA Expansion

    • Your MMA: You will continue to view planners and RFPs that have been sourced in your MMA.

    • Previously Sourced MMAs: If a planner shares an RFP that is outside of your MMA, but this planner has previously sourced in your MMA, this planner and RFP will now be visible to you.

    • Surrounding MMAs: If a planner shares an RFP that is outside of your MMA, but this planner has previously sourced in one of the 5 MMAs surrounding yours, this planner and RFP will now be visible to you.

  • User Interface Updates

    • Shared RFPs Table: When a Planner to Meet converts to a Planner You Know by way of them sending your venue an RFP, you will now see the Shared RFPs table on the Planners You Know full detailed view. This way, you won't lose sight of the leads the planner is sending to other venues after they convert.

View the new Shared RFPs Table below:

  • In order to better assist you in narrowing down prospects now that there are more planners in Planners to Meet, we have enhanced our filter offerings:

    • Planners To Meet RFP MMA Filter: Now that Planners To Meet will contain RFPs that are outside of your MMA, we have added a filter so that you can drill into RFPs in a specific MMA. This allows Sales Managers to better target a segment of planners that are sourcing to a specific area.

    • Radius Filters: To assist you in finding planners within a general area, we have introduced a radius option to the following filters:

      • Event Organization Location: You can expand your search to include event organizations within up to 100 miles of your selected location.

      • Event Organization Region: You can filter your search by regions that event organizations are in.

      • Planner Sourcing MMA: You can expand your search to include planners that have sourced to an MMA within up to 100 miles of your selected MMA

      • RFP MMA: You can expand your search to include RFPs that were sent to an MMA within up to 100 miles of your selected MMA.

Contact Planner Changes

As we're expanding the number of planners in Planners To Meet, we want to make sure that suppliers can still communicate with planners while also keeping the trust and safety of our planners top of mind. To do so, we need to remove Personally Identifiable Information including phone and email.

Instead of viewing the planner's phone number or email address in Planner Navigator you will now click the Email button to use the AI Writing Assistant or open directly in your email application.

A future phase of this enhancement will be a full email communication solution within Cvent. This will allow suppliers to ensure timely responses from planners, track the communication history, and set reminders for follow-up.

Default Saved Searches

Oftentimes, users want to filter by the same Saved Search, but applying filters can be time-consuming.
Now, with the ability to apply a Saved Search as the default, you will be able to have the same filters applied each time you log into Planner Navigator. You can choose where to apply the Saved Search, to Planners Your Know & Planners to Meet and/or the Dashboard. This will be especially helpful for Above Property Users to further refine those Dashboard Insights to the most relevant planners.

You can now set a Saved Search when creating a new saved search or when editing a saved search:

After setting a default Saved Search, you will now see an indicator on the Dashboard, Planners You Know, and Planners to Meet that shows which search set is selected. This indicator also allows you to quickly switch between Saved Searches:
