We have been working hard to deliver new Cvent Event Diagramming enhancements. Check out even more details on each of these releases below:

  1. Diagram Assistant

  1. Diagram Status

  1. Inventory Alerts

  1. Share Modal Enhancements

Diagram Assistant

Target Users

All diagramming users

Overview

Diagramming Assistant is a tool in the left panel of Cvent Event Diagramming that enables you to quickly complete essential diagramming tasks. It walks you through the primary workflow with natural, conversational language and prompts you toward your intended diagram’s final state.

Benefits

  • Prompts include suggested layouts, autofill, table numbering, table linen color, auto-seat attendees, export diagrams, add collaborators, and more.

  • This feature makes the diagramming process accessible to users of all experience levels.

  • You can quickly follow the prompts to complete essential tasks quickly and accurately.

Diagram Status

Target Users

All diagramming users

Overview

You can now update your event diagrams to reflect the current event lifecycle status, indicating whether it is approved, in progress, or requires further attention. The statuses available include Draft, Internal, Alternate, Submitted, Approved, and Final.

Benefits

  • Real-time updates ensure that all stakeholders are aware of the current status, reducing miscommunication and delays.

  • The status of each diagram is prominently displayed in all locations of the event diagram, leading to more streamlined feedback and clearer approvals.

  • By keeping everyone informed and up to date, the Diagram Status feature helps in maintaining a well-organized and efficient event planning process.

Inventory Alerts

Target Users

Diagramming users with access to a Custom Venue Catalog

Overview

The new Inventory Alerts for Custom Venue Catalogs will help you and other stakeholders avoid surpassing the total quantity of equipment on individual diagrams.

Benefits

  • When you place an object that exceeds the available inventory on a single diagram, a warning message will appear.

  • The warning highlights which items have surpassed the limit and by how much, ensuring you are immediately aware of the over-commitment.

  • Despite the warning, you can still place the objects, allowing flexibility in planning while keeping all informed of inventory status.

Future Enhancements

  • This release is for individual diagrams. Future updates will include other diagrams and events that are in a "Final" status, ensuring better inventory management across multiple diagrams and events.

Share Modal Enhancements

Target Users

All diagramming users

Overview

Significant updates have been made to Share Modal to improve its ease of use and enhance transparency when adding collaborators. These enhancements will help you better manage permissions and access levels for their collaborators.

Benefits

  • You will now first choose whether your collaborators should have 'edit' or 'view' permissions reducing confusion and ensuring the correct access level is granted from the start.

  • After selecting the permission level, you can specify which product areas the collaborator can access providing more precise control over what collaborators can view or edit.

  • The option to set an event expiration date and time has been made more prominent, making it easier to find and utilize this feature.

  • You can now add up to 10 email addresses simultaneously, significantly speeding up the process of inviting multiple collaborators.
